I didn't take the picture, Beverly did. The date I used was from the interment record.

LANDON familt
Roslyn, thank you again for your hard work on the Landons. I know if your name is associated with someone then the research is good.

I cant believe how many Landons you are associated with. Im inputting all the names from a book on ancestry and I always go to Find A Grave. Thanks so much.

One last thing. How are you related to the Landons?

God bless,
Susie

Landon Photo Requests at Lakeview
Dear Roslyn,

I have claimed your photo requests for Mary Landon (#158042065), Marcellus Landon (#113907092)and Melvina Landon (#156191568).

The weather should clear up in the next week and I will plan on going out to get the photos.

FYI: The Lot Owner is registered as M.H. Landon which I assume is Marcellus Hall Landon. He and Mary are in Section: Cedar, Lot: 36.

The cemetery does not have a record for Melvina...this is probably because the chronological interment logs are missing for 1900-1905. So it doesn't mean she isn't there. Once I get out there, I will have a better idea.

Fun fact: I learned Mary died on 2/7/1926 and was stored in the vault on 2/10/1926 then buried 5/17/1926 in the above mentioned plot location. Additionally, Mary's card read 'May J. Landon' but I assume that is just a typo.

If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.

Best,

Jason

Sarah Landon
Hi,
I went looking for Sarah Landon today and unfortunately, couldn't find her. There are so many unreadable or broken/vandalized headstones in this cemetery that it's very likely hers is one that's impossible to decipher. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

RE: Edward Huff - Soule Cemetery
There is no marker for Edwards grave. He is buried in the Mount Hope Section grave 51. As you will see from the photo of the area, the stones are modest if any. There was a marker for grave 50 next to him so that is how I located it. Luckily the groundskeeper was there and he did some more digging in the files.

RE: Edward Huff - Soule Cemetery
That's odd. And Edward was a city employee to boot! The day I was there the groundskeepers had a record of a 1898 burial that the city didn't and neither one of them had a recent burial dated 2005. But the requestor had a record that that person is there somewhere. That's why they pay me the big bucks!

RE: Edward Huff - Soule Cemetery
You're welcome. I will certainly give it another try. I not only spoke to the city that day but I got lucky and met up with the groundskeepers who also have records there at the cemetery. Theirs are on 8x5 cards but are helpful. Neither one had an Edward Huff. There are Huffs in three different Lots in 2 different sections of Soule. I will try to look at all three spots and see if Edward isn't there somewhere. Do you have the name of his wife? I did 34 of the 46 requests that were there and hope to clear up the rest in the next week or so.

I'm slower than Snail Mail!

Do you want to try the SACs again so I can make my corrections? Is this connected to my Landon relatives in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada?

Thanks,
Claude

Sorry about that - my bad. Guess I didn't look close enough to realize you didn't manage that one. I would love to take Ira Ellis Landon's, though, if you don't mind. Thank you so much!!

Memorial# 13021550 Mrs Richard McCue
Hi Roslyn,

Just a thought - would you mind transferring this memorial to me?? She is my 2gr-grandmother. It would make edits easier for me as I find information on her.

Thanks for all you do!!

RE: Mrs Richard (Green) Landon McCue
No, but I wish I did!! They are my 2gr-grandparents and him being missing is creating a hole. I can find lots of William Landons in his age group but they're all in SW Michigan and I don't think he was ever there. No divorce records, no death records, here or Canada....it's almost like he just dropped off the face of the earth. Oh well, keep digging ;) Thanks for the edit on Lucinda!!
