RE: Samuel Adams Drake
You are quite welcome. I will revisit the cemetery and try to capture a better picture of the inscription and "caption" the photo. The stone is lovely, very white, and wearing. I'd love to help prederve what it says on it. Thanks for your request. Pat

Maria Strode - Photo Request
Dusty Dirt - You have a photo request for Maria Strode (13386932) and her husband James in Termonfeckin Cemetery,Ireland. I visited the cemetery this past week and I could not find any record of their burial there. There is large Brabazon plot, but no record of their burial in that plot under either the Brabazon or Strode names. Both Maria & James died in England and I could not find any evidence that their remains were returned to Termonfeckin for burial. I do have photos of the large Brabazon plot in Termonfeckin that I took and also an inventory of the burials from the local Historical Society, but no Strodes.
Maybe you could check with the person who created the memorial (Lainey) to ask her if she has evidence that Maria & James are actually buried in Termonfeckin. Let me know if I can help you any more.

RE: Asenath Strong Headstone
You're very welcome! I apologize that it took me so long to post the photos. I took them the same day I claimed your request, and the next day I went to see my daughter in Minnesota for a week. With traveling occupying most of my brain space, posting slipped my mind!
I do hope to do a rubbing of the stone. Realistically, it may have to wait until winter. That would work out well because then I could check out the stones that are currently hidden in heavy foliage.

Wauwatosa Cemetery
Dusty, I see you have taken some photos in Wauwatosa Cemetery. Where can you find out the locations of the graves and where can you find a map of the Cemetery. Thanks for your help. John

Sherry Champlin
Deacon Creek Cemetery
Hi! I received two requests for Deacon Creek tonight. Last summer, I cleaned and photographed all the stones in that cemetery and all are on Find-A-Grave. Unfortunately, if you have information that your ancestors were buried there, I'd have to say those stones are gone. The cemetery is maintained by Bristol Township and they do a really good job, considering its location (in the middle of a pasture/soybean field), but you're probably not going to receive photos. I double checked the Trumbull County, Ohio Cemetery Inscriptions 1800-1930 compiled by the Trumbull County Genealogical Society and published in 1983 - your Leanora and Elizabeth were not listed as having stones at that time. Sorry!

He said it's what he was told. I'll see what I can do. It's a bit soggy right where they are right now.

William and Beatrice Andress
According to the cemetery, William and his wife Beatrice are Mormans. They will not have a headstone. Beatrice was just buried on 3-7-14. If you want a picture of the area they are buried in, I can do that.

RE: Thank you!
The it is pretty remarkable how that tree is wrapped around the marker. How big around would you say the tree is? - look enormous. I asked about the proximity of the two. As they passed away 63 yrs and several states apart from each other.

Again thanks for your time.

John G. O
Joseph & Katherina Holzbauer burial plots
Yo! Dusty Dirt, Yes! Do understand the search
problems as many I've searched for haven't
been found, and many an obituary didn't provide
information, not even from some funeral home
records. Please advise on further information
and/or assistance with locating some records,
if some courthouse had burned to the ground
in those past times. My few "trips" to the area
went unfullfilled with some lost sites and a few
missing stones (some buried in years of dirt
after not being recovered!).
As with your note on Findagrave:
Reported by: Dusty Dirt on Jun 13, 2013
General problem: I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave
Details: I searched four cemeteries and could not locate their burial sites. Next step, I can try to contact these four I went to to see if they are located there but have either effaced, damaged, or missing headstones. This happens over time. Sad, but true. Vandals destroy more often then Weather or Time.
Thank you, John G. O

RE: family pics
Thanks so much but I am a little confused about George. The cemetery said there are seven plots but you must have found six. The family story is that Florence was buried near George, they died a year apart and were both children and might be in the same plot. He might have a small marker. If you go back, would you please look around Florence. I really appreciate this.

RE: family pics
I'm sorry you have to make a second trip. The most important are Gottlieb, Marie, and Florence. They were my grandparents and my father's sister, who died as a child before he was born. I always heard about Florence from my grandmother. I am very interested in genealogy and am very graceful to you taking the pictures. I grew up in Milwaukee but have lived in Florida since 1992. thank you so much for providing this service.
