Craig Co photo Richard Puffer
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting spots of many of our "old soldiers' that had ties to Vermont. Richard Puffer is one such soldier. may I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave memorial, to post on the Vt. C.W.site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Panola M Armstrong Find A Grave Memorial# 37998477
I Jackie, I noticed a picture of headstone that belongs to the mother on this memorial. Easily confused for sure. Would you mind deleting the mothers headstone picture? I was at the cemetery and took picture of the correct headstone.

Thanks, Shane

I added a picture to Jeanne's memorial that I thought you might like to see. I have a better one of her somewhere I may find later.I tell you this because I am always interested in any pix added to my memorials and thought you might be too. Also, if you are like me and curious about early deaths she had high blood pressure and had a stroke.

Hi again Jackie

I created the correct Panola Parrish Armstrong memorial to go with the photo you did of her tombstone. Her new memorial is #152118494

I'd appreciate you changing the photo to this new memorial.

Oh I forgot to ask for sure .. did you find the tombstone in Fairview Cemetery where the wrong Panola is listed or was it a different cemetery?

I added the Fairview Cemetery to MY memorial for Panola but wasn't sure if that was the actual place you found the tombstone.

Anyway thanks for all your help!!

RE: Panola M Armstrong #37998477
Hi Jackie

Yes think it would be best to remove the photo since it is for another Panola who married a G A ARMSTRONG. The tombstone states that it's Panola was born 1858 and died 1890. Don't think there is a memorial yet for her.

I need to check again to make sure the correct info then if I don't find a memorial for the person whose tombstone you have I will create a new memorial and then you can add this photo to the new memorial.

The memorial #37998477 is a different person who was born 1907 and died 2005.

Hi you have added a photo to this Panola Armstrong memorial but this person is not the same one whose tombstone you have photographed.

The tombstone in your photo is for Panola Parrish born 18 Aug 1858 and died 23 Mar 1891 in Craig Co OK. She married George A Armstrong on 22 Mar 1874 in OK.

I just thought you might want to get this changed before the other person deletes it, however I don't believe anyone has created a memorial for Panola Parrish Armstrong yet.

George and Lillian Franklin
Hello Jackie, Just wanted to ask you if you'll add this couple together.. You listed the wife, Lillian Franklin and DJ Crane listed the husband, George W. Franklin, both in the Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, OK. Their granddaughter is Lynne Loss and was so disturbed because she could not find a listing for either of them anywhere and she knows exactly where they are buried, but I did finally find both of the listings just this night. I have the two volumes of cemetery listings for the Fairview cemetery done by Dorothy Nix and Wanda Norton, but neither of them is listed in the indexes. BUT, I find them submitted here on Find A Grave. I have helped her and others work on this same Franklin, etc families of the Vinita area so I was familiar with their names/info.
Rather than ask both of you to link them together and get duplicates, etc., I thought that I'd just write to you this time. I have written with DJ Crane previously and that went well. I don't recall that you and I have exchanged notes.
So here is the husband's memorial # as DJ Cranes gives it, George W. Franklin #88547674 and the wife, Lillian Franklin is #77840708, submitted by you. I know that this will please Lynne and will help others if they are looking for them.

Bair Stone in Fairview Cemetery
Hello Jackie,

I'm working on my family genealogy and have hit a dead end...no pun intended. Charlie F. Bair was my grand uncle and you photographed his stone earlier. All we know about his wife is her name Vinnie Marshall. I do know she was born Dec.23, 1899 and died Dec.15, 1988 in Vinita. They were married Nov.22, 1952 in Harrison, Arkansas. I don't know if she was married before or anything else about her but I would appreciate if you could look for her stone in the cemetery. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

RE: John White, Memorial #97526257
Your willingness to assist me is so very much appreciated. Wow! Finding his DOD and location of his grave has been one of those genealogy walls that has seemed so insurmountable.

I hope this meager information will help: John David White was born 5 Jul 1848, Sevier Co., TN. I believe he died after 1900 because I found 1900 Census, Vinita, OK, I found a John White, 43, with a wife named Nancy so he may have remarried. His first wife, Sarah (Thomas) White, Findagrave memorial # 8636162, died in 1892.) She is buried at Fairview Cemetery. No headstone shown or exact location is given for her grave site, either. Perhaps they are buried close together. I don't have a record of his ever living in Osage County, I just don't know.

If it helps to know David's Daughter, Josephine E White, married Sewell W Hall. Her in-laws, Duncan D Hall and Mary Elizabeth (Schrimsher) (Hall)(Summers) Kenworthy are also buried at Fairview.

I'm hoping this little tidbit will help you further assist me. Again, I can't begin to convey how much I appreciate your help, Ms. Jackie.

John White, Memorial #97526257
Ms. Jackie,
Thank you for listing John White, Memorial # 97526257, interred at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, OK.

Per chance would you have the plot, section number or any other way I might locate the grave site. Do you have access to information that would indicate what date he was buried there? Perhaps the name of the register book it came from? I am 95% sure this is my gr gr grandfather. He married to Sarah Elizabeth Thomas, who is also buried at Fairview Cemetery. Any further information you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Aaron Gregory
My name is Betty Atkins I was born May 30th 1940 to Irene Gregory. Her husband, (my birth father) was Aaron Gregory (quite a bit older) and he died before my birth. My only information was that I was living with a grandmother and had to be given up for adoption, as my grandmother had tuberculosis. I was adopted by Wayne and Una Wright as a toddler. ancestry.com lists my mother, Irene Gregory as having died under that same name on April 29, 2001.I am hoping to find out anything I can about my birth parents. My email address is elizabethatkins@comcast.net. Can you help in any way? Thank you

RE: S S Sharp
Thank you so much for taking the time to check on this area--and the Sharps. I put some in my yard when we first built the house, (I didn't know any better at the time)in a rock-gravel area. Once you plant those things, they are there forever,, you pull them up, more come up. I have tried spraying them with roundup, they thrive on it. We bulldozed an area to build a garage, they came up.
A friend who does a lot of looking for graves in our area, says that a lot of graves that aren't in cemeteries, are marked by yuccas. When they find a yucca in a strange area, they check for evidence of a grave.
Thanks again--so many graves are lost--and no record of the person's burial can be found--Thanks so much, Loneta

Yes, there are a five more (that we know of). Cyrus Cicero (Walter Cornatzer's father), Kathryn Zimmerman Cornatzer (there are 2 memorials on finda... for her--she was Cyrus' 2nd wife). Lycurgus Leroy (Cyrus' brother/Felix and Effie's father, and Felix and Effie (children of Lycurgus).

One other request, if you find an Alex Chouteau d. 1897. He is not listed on Finda..., not sure if he is buried there...

Thank you so much for your help with this.

Thank you for the additional information.
"He also married Nancy Pigg on December 8, 1876."

Suggestion: "Parental relationship links for this individual are: 32405868 father; 34829644 mother"

The problem is the memorial # for the father is not a valid #. The mother's number went thru.

Also Do you think Nannie is a nickname for Nancy?

Thank you again and looking forward to hearing from you in regards to these questions.
Mary Bob
