|Jeff247||RE: William Luce and Alexander & Margarate Brown|
You're welcome. I lifted up the stone to see what it said and didn't know who it might be. Just saw the name Hannah with no other readable text. There is always the question of whether to even touch the stone. I would hate to break it lifting it up. I thought about turning it over with Hannahs name facing up or leaning it up against Williams stone. I decided to just leave as I found it.
Next time I'm there I'll stand it up and photo it.

|Kathy Brown Rose||RE: Charles & Delia Bashaw - St Mary's Cemetery, Brandon VT|
Hi Bob - I created this memorial the same day that I created my 2x greatgrandfather's memorial in the same cemetery. I know I created several memorials at the time from the notes and pictures I took that day. However, I later found my camera was on the wrong settings and I was not able to add them to Find A Grave. I am only assuming that is the case with Charles & Delia Bashaw as they are not related to me and I do not seem to have any other notes related to them. I am leaving the memorials as such for now but I am also putting them in my "fix" virtual cemetery to check for stones when I am down there again (little over an hour away, maybe this fall). In the meantime, if you have any documentation or photos, etc to show that they are buried somewhere else, I will gladly change their memorials. Also, is there a chance Brandon could be a cenotaph? Kathy

Hi Bob, you're welcome. It was in a small box of clippings that a friend loaned to me. These old clippings are gold mines!

Anne Ordway memorial #6879080
Hello - unfortunately someone asked that 2 Anne Ordway memorials be merged without noting that one memorial had a headstone where she was buried and the other was a cenotaph/memorial stone only. One of the photographers of an old stone has passed and so I don't know where that stone is really located. However, hopefully you can look at the memorial and see if the cemetery where you photographed your stone is the same one. No matter what, I would appreciate your editing your photo at this memorial with the cemetery information where you took the photo so I can sort out this mess. Thank you, as always, for helping to document these burials.

Glad to have them! They were my husband's aunt and uncle. I enjoy linking families together, and I thank you for your work in laying the foundation with the grave photos.

|Madonna Wise||RE: Harold and Ethel Hutchinson|
I am happy the information was another part of the story. As for me, I am a retired educator who loves to do research. A large portion of my family ancestors are buried in Ball Hill Cemetery. I recently completed another data base in Carroll County and have been slowly working through the Ball Hill database. I use a variety of resources from my genealogical research to find the obituaries. So many of the folks were related or related via inlaws, so the process has answered a variety of questions for me. I do a great deal of writing too so I find interesting stories that give me themes, etc. I did notice the unique story of Harold and Ethel. I found it interesting that Ethel had a professional role in the years of the Great Depression, etc. It is an atypical story for the day for sure. I grew up in that area in a farm family, etc. but I did not personally know that family.
I often research family members, i.e. my great Aunt Molly who had 5 husbands and was significant in prohibition era rum-running, etc. and begin to see the story of a life. Thanks so much for responding. Madonna

There are some errors on your post. My Grandfather Charles Gilbert Bashaw, Jr. and Ellen Shea Bashaw had 7 children not 5. Mary, Charles, Gertrude, Charlotte, Gilbert, Paul (my father), and Helena.

since you are related to her, I transferred her memorial to you. We only created it because she was absent from the database.

This is my husband's direct line. I would really like to have the obits, but don't want to step on anyone's toes. Would you email them to me, and mind if they were posted to ancestry? I may have another way to get them on F-A-G as well...
Thanks again for your contributions!

|Karen Frederickson||RE: Jenness - Perry connection|
Yes I'm a descendant of Francis Jenness, who settled in the Rye/Portsmouth area in the late 17th century. The Perrys that I have so far in my tree are scattered and don't seem connected to those in the High St. Cemetery. I'm curious about Walter J. Perry Sr., though, was he born in another state, not NH?
