Hi, I am looking for an Elizabeth Zeigler born around 1868 in North Carolina. My great-great grandfather claimed to have been adopted into the family of Thomas F and Mary McCarver. On the 1880 census for Thomas & Mary, Elizabeth is listed as step-daughter. My great-great grandfather, John Alexander McCarver 1872-1956 and one other sister have dates of birth before Thomas and Mary's marriage date of 1875. When I research Elizabeth to discover her father, I have come across your Elizabeth Zeigler. There members of this branch of my family buried in the same cemetary-Elmwood. I'm just curious if you know anything about this.

|Alice Morton||Hi Ninnette|
My grandmothers brother Jim Ziglar died in British Columbia in 1953 #100705291. I noticed you have him in Victoria Memorial. That particular cemetery did not open until 1959 and the office has no record of him being there nor does any of the other cemeteries in the area. He may be in Valley View. I haven't checked there yet. The office could be wrong so I am wondering where you got the information that he is there. I certainly would like to know where he is..he lived with my grandparents for a while in Washington state and was sick at that time. Of course that was in the late 30's but I don't think he was well the last 20 years of his life..

I know about Lucille's daughter Jane. After I was born and adopted by the Gray's in Florida,she could not have children,so she adopted Jane. I met Gae several times, but never met her daughter.

Yes,it's been about a year and you'll have to forgive me Ninnette; I've been in and out of hospital and on somepr4etty heavy medication. I came down with a rare disorder called "Temporal Arthritus"; an infection of the blood vessels in the temples. Been on steriods for 6 months now and the memory has been watered down a bit. What do you mean you found my mother? I have tried corresponding with my half sister Jane Snow;but with no results.Seems I have been shut out up there. Do you have Gae's email address? I'd love to email her. I hope you will keep in touch. I take it from the name Zeigler that you were part of Lucille's family some where. If There is anything I can help you with,just ask. I have lots and lots of photos if you want them and some personal photos envelopes and letters of Poppa's. My oldest son is dead and my youngest son is not interested. Hope to hear from you soon. Email is email@example.com

I thank you very much for all your effort. Our church, st Matthews Lutheran is celebrating 175th ann next year, and we are publishing a book of our history. The first person buried in our cemetery was John Stoner, 1st child of Samuel and Margaret Peggy Wilhelm Stoner. The cemetery was then known as Wilhelm Cemetery until our church purchased the property from John & Anna Wilhelm. We think, but have no proof that Margaret was John & Anns's daughter, and she named her son John Stoner after her father. I've searched all the avenues that I know, but can not prove the relation.
Again, thank you for all your help.

Hi, I see from your post that you are a cousin to the late Buford Mason. I am wondering if you can tell me if his wife's name was Ressa (Gibson) Mason?
She is my great-aunt and I cannot locate any info on her except that her husband's name was Buford and that she died in Alabama around 1984.
Thanks, Edward Farmer

|t. stephens||lawrence farrar|
I sent you a message before that Lawrence Farrar's death certificate stated that he was in Oaklawn, and not Elmwood. Well, to complicate things more, I found an actual grave for him today at Forest Lawn West buried next to his wife, Ada Leifer Farrar. I have a photo, but I didn't want to make another memorial page. I thought I would let you decide. I also notified the Farrar family who I am trying to get photos for.
