RE: Duplicate
You put Thomas "Rogers" Rodgers Find A Grave#65167873 2/4/2011 in Rocky Spring Cemetery and then established Thomas "Rodgers" Rogers Find A Grave#117764284 in Greenfield Cemetery 9/28/2013.
According to McBride Cemetery book Page 335, there
is a stone for him at Greenfield Cemetery, but on page 354, I do not see that there was a stone at Rocky Spring for him.
I could very well be wrong...and one of these very well could be a cenotaph per the information from Find A Grave below.
Thanks! Marianna Morgan Kerns
If adding children - which one should be linked to!

Why are there multiple memorials for the same individual? How does Find A Grave handle duplicate memorials?
Because so many people add data to Find A Grave, there are often duplicate cemeteries and duplicate memorials added. This is a very common situation and is quite difficult to resolve in a way that keeps everyone happy. Before adding a memorial, search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. If you are adding a memorial for someone who does not have a physical grave or memorial marker in a cemetery (perhaps their ashes were scattered), please do a general search on Find A Grave (do not enter a location) to see if a memorial has already been created for that person. If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial. In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location. If a case of duplicate memorials falls to the Administration, the Administration will have the final word on which memorial is deleted and which data will be retained in the remaining memorial page. There are some situations where an individual (usually a 'famous' individual) may have more than one memorial page, because their body was buried in one location but a cenotaph or second marker/memorial was also placed in a second location. NOTE Jan 25, 2013: If there are two memorial pages for the same individual, and one has a Lost at Sea designation, and the other gives the location of a cenotaph or memorial marker, the memorial page with the Lost at Sea location may be merged into the memorial page with a physical cenotaph stone or memorial location. Find A Grave Memorial# 75838170
Mr Rodgers, I a descendant of the McElwains. I have as Robert's (18 Jun 1779 in Ireland = 7 Oct 1824 in Fayette, Ohio) wife, Jane Taylor,(22 May 1782 in Redstone, Fayette, Pennsylvania,=
22 Dec 1876 in Wayne, Fayette, Ohio)Find A Grave Memorial# 112399936. The only Elizabeth I find is a child in either of these cemeteries. I do not know the distance of these 2 cemeteries, and now question this relationship after reading the link added on Robert's memorial. Do you have any other info that his wife was an Elizabeth? Rogers - Loudoun County
Mac,

I went to the Town of Leesburg grave site that is linked to the Balch Library in Leesburg. According to that site, the Balch library has a picture of Arthur Roger's marker. Also, even though Hamilton Rogers was listed to be in Sharon, his grave is located at the North Fork Baptist Church cemetery, in Lincoln, Loudoun County, VA. http://www.leesburgva.gov/index.aspx?page=940

Harpers in your family cemetery
Yes, those Harpers were kin, but I never lived in the area. I had several different sources, including data from two aunts, Rootweb sources, cousin sources, maps, etc. I mailed the maps to a fellow researcher.
If I remember correctly, part of that county was formed out of Ross County. I have started rounding up some of the cousins. Two have some data on Ancestry.com and Rootsweb.
Write me directly.

on your finda grave you have him with the first information about his father born 1772. He is in grave memorial 99861436, You mght want to put it there. The second information is on his son Alexabder Jr and that is his picture not the pictures of Alexander Sr and that information is ok you might want to look at 99861436 and get this maybe straightened out.

I'm sorry, I cannot answer your questions on these individuals. I have not researched the family links. I only entered the information found in a book on fayette County Cemeteries. Unfortunately, you'll have to do the research. I have transferred the memorials in question to you so that you can research and edit them. I am not related to anyone in this cemetery. If there are other memorials you would like to manage, please let me know using the edit button on each memorial.
Good luck with your research and I'm sorry I couldn't help you any more.

Judson Rhoads
Sarah Allen Bledsoe
Mac,
I added the picture for Sarah, and will delete the duplicate. The DAR are working to document all of the burials in Grandview so I'm sure they will eventually add another duplicate with the Bledsoe name because she is recorded as Bledsoe by the cemetery.

Thanks for updating David M. YOUNG's memorial. Also, thanks for all of the bios you write. You make FindAGrave a better place.

One last thing, you can play bagpipes around me while I'm living and I won't complain about the noise. I love the sound of bagpipes!

RE: Frances Rodgers Lowe
You are more than welcome. Sorry there isn't a gravestone up for her yet but maybe in time? Besides those flowers there were a couple of other little decorations that didn't get into the picture so the site looked very nice. Give it a few weeks/months and for nice weather again and throw on another request and I'll see if there's a stone and if there is will get a picture for you.

Jonathan Rodgers
Hi Mac,

I'm trying to piece together my Rodgers/Rogers line and am hoping you can help. My Rodgers line came from Virginia (pretty certain that it's Loudon County) to Kentucky to Ross County. My Jonathan Rodgers married Nancy Dawson in Ross County June 4, 1816 and moved on to Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana. I can't officially place Jonathan with his parents. I do know that he was born in Virginia in 1794. Does he sound familiar to you? I appreciate any help that you couldoffer.
