RE: Salasek Vajgrt connection
Well, we certainly are related. :) John Salasek is my great grandfather. When I was a child I remember my family (Dale Salasek) visiting Mary Vajgrt in Osh Kosh. I saw Bob Vajgrt in 2009 on our family farm in Marshalltown, IA when we had a Salasek reunion in honor of a Czech relative who came to this country to visit for the first time.

I sure wish I could find the Salasek ancestors to Antonie Salasek. She seems to have had a sister Josephine Holubar.

If you send me your email address, I will invite you to the Salasek family page on MyHeritage. There are many Vajgrts in it and I think there are Vajgrt families that I haven't connected together within the site. You can even add family that you know.

I've really gotten into the family genealogy thing and actually visited the Czech Republic a year ago. I saw the villages where my ancestors were born and even the houses. It was absolutely fascinating.

Salasek Vajgrt connection
I imagine we're related in some way as we have Vajgrts in our family. (from Osh Kosh, Wisconsin) But right now I'm wanting more to know about the photo with Antonia Salasek Chalupnik and family that you added to Find a Grave.

I've tried to find more information about her possible family connection and hit dead ends. Where did you get the photo? Do you know anything more about her family?

Thanks for any info you might have!

RE: Your Photo Requests - Lake View - Oshkosh
Hi - Thanks for your nice note! It's a start!
I was pleasantly surprised to find the cemetery office was very nice to provide the locations and very friendly. I made a quick call during the noon hour and I was able to obtain the locations (without being a family member!).
It was in the high 50's today . . . and most all of the snow has melted . . . looks like winter may be over!!

Request - Ronald Barnes
Hi Mike - I checked with the cemetery office and I understand this person is inside. I will make another trip back when the building is open - hopefully in the few days or during the weekend when I am out running errands. Also, I'll be able to take pixs of Geo Luebke, Robert Luebke and Daniel Stryzewski. I was running out of daylight.

Your Photo Requests
Hi - As soon as the weather gets a warmer and the snow melts, I would be glad to fulfill your photo requests at the Lake View Cemetery, Oshkosh - Winnebago County, Wisconsin. In the meantime, would you kindly contact the cemetery to locate plot / burial location? The cemetery has a web page (below) and it includes their phone number or email address to obtain this information. It will make it easier to fulfill this request; as I am not sure if this info is released to non-family.

Died 11 days after giving birth to twins one was my father James Vajgrt and his sister Marie.
Only 2 children are mentioned. She had 5 sons and 1 daughter.

Uncle John my dads brother (the one buried in Lincoln died in 1973 being murdered while fishing) only has one son mentioned with Anna. He had two.

You seem to be missing a large part of my side there...grin

But great work.

Per your request, I transferred your cousin to your management. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I get well over 100 requests a month and I get to them as time permits.

The photo of his marker is actually pretty good in lieu of the fact that the granite used for the markers in this part of the cemetery is of poor quality. Some of the markers that are this old are already virtually unreadable.

Best Regards,

Miracle Mile Tim

The Sovell's are both interred at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, not Shoreview. I called and verified their plots, Joanna is in Section 10, Block 8, Lot 18, Grave 3, and Stanley is in the same location, Grave 4. I still take these photos, but I thought you might want to update the site.
