The museum would only allow photos without flashes. The lights were bright. I took several photos but that one was sadly the best.

Found an article in the Kenosha Civil War Museum that I believe is very interesting regarding Oscar! I added it as a photo to your memorial. Sorry it didn't turn out very well. If you do not want it in your memorial please feel free to remove it. If you are unable to let me know and I will.

RE: Solomon Harper
I am familiar with that source, but she is inaccurate. Philip Harper 1712-1798 is the son of Adam Harper, but Adam is NOT the son of Michael Harper. The church records in Germany do not show the parents of Adam. See our website at: jacobcharper.org and go to the genealogy section. These Harpers are NOT related to Matthew and Hans Harper in Augusta County.

I am descended from Philip Harper "the Pioneer" 1712-1798 who settled near Seneca Rocks in 1753. His son was Jacob Harper to Moses Harper to Jacob C. Harper to Elizabeth Harper (my great-grandmother) Our website is: www.jacobcharper.org

the other names associated with this person are her parents--joesph & luria Udey--rock lake. all the people in the udey plot are her famiy. We suspect she is buried with them, in an un-marked grave. this was a 12 plot section purchased by her father. When she died, her nephew claimed the body. She was the Mother of 9 children, so some of the children may be buried in these un-marked graves. These people had no money. Could have been a co. burial? There are a set of babies and a 16 yr.old boy not accounted for. Only 5 of the 12 graves are marked as occupied. Her Mother Luria was the last Person who died--1916--before Verna--1925. So I would guess She would be next to Her. Check it out! S.E.

dear grave rider, for a very long time we have been looking for the grave of the women listed above. Her parents are buried at rock lake, lake mills wi. You are listed as the person taking charge of these graves. In 1925 she was buried here. no burial permit! Her father joesph purchased, a plot with 12 graves. they were not all used. She's in one of them, no marker. This could have been a co. burial. do You know anything about this? could this permit be located? She died in burlington,wi. Her mother luria was buried in 1916, the last one in the plot before Her. She also had several children die, could they be in what appears to be un-used plots? Let Me know if You have any info on these people. sharon l. erickson slericcookie@gmail.com

Would you believe Antwhissle? Found an 1870 census for the Antwhissle household in Lakes Mills Town, Jefferson Co., WI whose members include: James b. 1829-1830 Ireland, Ellen b. 1834-1835 Ireland, their children: Lula b. 1860-1861 WI and Frederick b. 1863-1864 WI. Also in the household is Fanny Bicknell b. 1802-1803 VT. I'm guessing she's Ellen's mother which is why your Frederick has Bricknell as his middle name. I do believe while our Antwhissle/Entwhistles are related going back to their Irish ancestors we have 2 separate families since mine came from Philadelphia to Jo Daviess Co., IL before ending up in Whiteside Co., IL. Jo Daviess Co., IL isn't all that far from Jefferson Co., IL. If there's any more I can do, let me know. In the meantime, good luck w/your search!
