Hello Charlene (and BarreNative),
When I saw the new photo request, I then remembered I had told Barre that I would return to take a better pic of the stone, as the one I took back in '07 wasn't as clear as I would have liked it to be. I thought she resent this request as a reminder for me to get moving before we were buried in snow! My apologies for not making that trip back up there. Please go ahead and post your new photo, and I will remove mine.

Steve

RE: Deacon Evans Lot
I just hit "request photo," so you should now be able to upload.

I seem to remember that JS_Dow uploaded a photo within an hour or two of the initial request. I asked him (?) about it, and he replied that he had the photos, but was waiting to return for "better" photos. So yes, now that I have seen the stone, I do remember being the one submitting the original request, but there is no recall or additional e-mail that goes out to volunteer photographers when an order has been fulfilled, except to the owner of the memorial.

JS_Dow owns the memorial. From playing around with a memorial I own, I can re-order photos, but it does not appear I can delete them, so I think you can post your photo as an addition without it disappearing. More is better in my book, but I don't own the John Evans memorial, nor I am within the 4 generations of descent to try to "claim" the memorial per Find A Grave rules.

Thank you for going to this cemetery, particularly since conditions seem to be deteriorating. Even the "Old Man of the Mountain" outcropping disintegrated. Closer relatives I am sure will be grateful for your efforts.

Deacon Evans Lot--corrected message
Can you tell whose photo(s) you have? I just checked the Deacon Evans Lot and found no outstanding requests, so I am puzzled (or forgetful).

Deacon Evans Lot:

I know I was looking for ancestors of Frank Evans. In that case, there are several I do NOT know where they are buried. When burial is listed as "unknown," there is no option to request a photo.

If you found some of his kin, that's great! Here is the line of ancestors on Frank's page:
