|Richard Aurand Sherer||Parsons Updates|
1. William E. Parson, d. 18 Feb 1910, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Apparently the family did its best to downplay the incident: The only description of the event I've found was from the Altoona Tribune. The only mention of his passing I've found the Lock Haven newspaper is this one:
Funeral of William E. Parsons
Funeral services over the remains of the late William E. Parsons were conducted at his home, No. 366 East Main street, this afternoon by Rev. Lewis Nichols, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal church. The services at the house and at the grave in Highland cemetery, where interment was made, were private. - Lock Haven Express, 21 February 1910
from newspaperarchive.com. Accessed 10 Dec 2014
2. Mary Parsons, d. 16 May 1938, was the daughter of Charles Fribley Parsons and Minerva Hughes Parsons. She was born 20 May 1882 in Lock Haven, never married, and died at age 55 of a streptococcus infection, according to Pennsylvania death certificate. He father was the fourth child and third son of Joseph Parsons and Ann Eliza Fribley.
If you have a transcript of the Parsons interments, I'd be grateful if you can send me a copy.
Thanks for all your hard work!

Carol, Can you help me with the location of Elma Streeter in Highland. Thanks, Dave

Transferred Scheid Memorials to you, they are not relatives of mine and there is no need to transfer them back - I added all information I had on burials at the Defunct Presbyterian Cemetery because nothing had previously been available and not all of the burials were moved when the cemetery closed. Hopefully a family member can someday connect with them. Thanks.

|Fay Elaine Young Chandler||Paul M. Rice|
Hi Carol: Yes Paul Rice's wife was Emma Howell, born 1871, died 28 Nov 1943. Don't know where she died at. They married 29 May 1893. I've looked for Emma on F.a.G. but have failed to find her. I have in my notes that Paul had a Pool Hall in Altoona. I haven't confirmed that.
Thank You so much for the additional info on the Blanchards!! Wow, a lot of moving around on the burials. So far haven't found them on F.a.G - even at Laurel Hill. Would it be safe for me to add their memorial & info? I appreciate so very much all the information you have provided. Researching is a time consuming job! But, very productive usually. I'm really wanting to get John & Judith Blanchard on F.a.G!!
You went much extra distance to provide information!! Thank You!! Fay C.

|Rebecca Zurec||Patricia Keister Photo Request|
A marker for Patricia Keister can not be found. She is in Garden F 22 D2. This location is on Edward Sr.'s left. No evidence of a burial for Edward Jr. is apparent. I have a photo of the family plot. May I upload the photo to satisfy your photo request? I don't want to make a rookie mistake.....Beck

|Bill "Hargrafen" Hargrave||RE: KINNEYS Highland Cemetery|
Hi Carol, thanks for the info.
She is show with Gertrude as her fist name on the families 1910 and the 1920 Census Reports as Gertrude A Rout. Additionally, other family members have said her first name was Gertrude although in her teen years she started to use Alleyne as her primary name. Bill

Thank you for the full DOB for her memorial.
As you can see, I was able to find obituaries and link family members for many of the Furst & Scott names you sent me. Thank you so much for that - it was very helpful. BTW - is there a Charles Irvin Probst, DOD 16 Nov 1932, in your database?

|Ann Rudy||RE: John Flicker|
Sorry I just found your message. You wrote. The correct lot is Section C lot # 159. The number you had was from an old reading where the people used their own system instead of the cemetery's system.
I can't take the photo due to a physical disability, but I do have some detailed info on the 5 interments on the lot. I tried to email it, but it was undeliverable. Is there a different e-address or can you send me your mailing address?
I did get a photo of John's headstone, although it being a Union Soldier headstone, it has not stood up to the hands of time and you can't read it at all.
You can send messages to firstname.lastname@example.org
