Mabel Anna & Vincent Andrew Behymer
Mr. Tippet:

Thank you for posting the Find A Grave picture of Mabel and Vincent Behymer; who are buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, in California. My family lived next door to them when they tragically passed away. I was only 12 at the time; and never knew anything about where they were buried until I found your picture at Find A Grave. Seeing that picture brought back both nice and sad memories. If you would like to know more about their tragic deaths....please feel free to contact me. They were both nice people.

RE: Octavia Lenora MacKinnon
She died on May 12, 1933, in Lead, South Dakota, at the age of 74, and was buried there. She was my grandmother's step-mother.

Thomas & Loren Behymer
Thanks for the additional information on Thomas Behymer. I am transferring his memorial and that of his wife to you. I was at Shrewsbury Cemetery and happened to photograph their stone. I noticed that you have several Behymer memorials you manage; so, you probably have more interest in the Behymer line than I do. My uncle married a Behymer, but Thomas is not part of her direct line either. Again, thanks for your contributions to Find A Grave.

Forest Lawn Requests
Unfortunately there were no headstones found for any of your request at Forest Lawn, One problem I run across a lot is people buried in the early 1930's don't often have headstones because of the depression making it unaffordable for many. Some of your request are in Potters Field sections where headstones are few and far in between. I tried for you my friend, I at least wanted to find one but it didn't happen !

Hi John,
I've been out of touch with you for more than a decade. I apologize for being a sorry friend.
Thank you for entering my grandmother on Find A Grave Memorial# 152088601

I have some exiting news. I ran the Ancestry DNA and have just discovered that I have a brood of relatives in Montgomery/Floyd and so on.

Just touching base and will share documents -- if they ever come.

Best regards,

RE: John Jonas
You're welcome. With no specific headstone, and so few of them at all, it's hard to even get the spacing right. It took quite a while to figure out even the general area, although I think I was close.

RE: Abner Haines
John, is a merger something I can request from Find A Grave? Or does the request have to come from the individual who maintains the memorial?

RE: John Jonas
I will be going back out there when the weather is nicer, and will walk a larger area of the plot. Based on the map, I should have covered the area he is buried in, but I have another to look for, and will double-check. I can send a photo of the field if you would like, although waiting until it greens up might be nice.

U.S. Civil War Soldier - Records & Profiles 1861-1865
William Blanchard
Tennessee - Resient
09 November 1861
Illinois - service
Death - 25 December 1908

In the past I have written for Civil War Records/burial records on my descendants - Perhaps if there is a question as to where William Blanchard is actually buried as he did live in Tennessee at the time of his death in 1908. I don't assume that they shipped his body to Illinois or anywhere else. By writing with a request, you would find his actual burial place. Or write the Cemetery in Tennessee, they would also have his burial record. If not, then leave him as unknown.

John: I review the Military documents and they say about 1838. I reviewed the 1900 Federal Census and it states October 1840. I understand that census aren't always correct either - but at least it is documented a an acutal date.Where all others state "about". Your guess is as good as mine. I will keep the Oct. 1840 date on my lineage. I am an ancestor of the Oakman line. Joanne

I apologize! I typed born when giving you the data about the marriage of Simeon Swem and Hattie Gould! I should have said they were married in Cincinnati, according to the specified form.

While researching Simeon Swem and his first spouse, Hattie Gould, I found a form pertaining to ‘Special Census on Deaf’ persons. It shows the names of Charles F (aka Chambos Frank) Swem and Emerson G (aka Harry E) Swem and lists their dates of birth as well as a ‘Babe’ born in May 1890 who died soon after birth with the notation that his mother 'died a few days later'. However, I did not find anything showing the death of Hattie Gould Swem nor about the child elsewhere. The form identifies the parents of both Simeon and Hattie and gives their marriage date as well, indicating they were born in Cincinnati.

I am not sure how i found it or if I got mixed up. I do work at the Kewanee Public Library and the Henry County Genealogical Society is there too. I help so many people that I can't seem to remember where that date came from. I am sorry about that.
