Thanks for clarifying Sarah's surname. I have found records with four different spellings for her and didn't know which one was correct. Do you have any information about her ancestors? I have none. Would appreciate your help.

lol - Got a chuckle on your being hooked on genealogy. Do you want to go to "AA" with me? That stands for Ancestry Anonymous and my husband swears he is going to send me there:)

Sally: I saw your flower comment and thought I would let you know I posted a Bratton family plot photo for their exact burial location. I'm trying to add all the plot photos to each Bratton that I can identify. There are 2 rows of Bratton related individuals with other Brattons throughout this area. Their daughter Anna is buried next to them.

|DIANN||PHOTO REQUEST AT VESTAL CEMETERY IN YADKINVILLE NC|
I was out to the cemetery today trying to fulfill your request, but the older stones are not legible at all. Most cannot even be seen as ever having carving.
The cemetery itself is in sad shape. You may know that the cemetery is on a little "cut-out" piece of land from another property right on the road. The adjacent property owner told me that an older man used to take care of it, but he died. The property owner has been keeping the grass cut periodically but that is all. Besides the old stones that have almost been buried, there are several others that have fallen. It also appears that several of the footstones are misplaced to the headstones!
I looked at each stone and took a couple of pictures of ones missing on the cemetery site. I can tell you that none of the Hoppers had visible stones.

I checked some time back for I. Edwards &
Nannie Edwards. They are buried in the
Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (Old)
and not the cemetery beside the church.
It has took me to now to find the old
cemetery. I downloaded both of the pictures.
I will email them to you also.

I am just not sure of the death date (year). You say it's 1876, and I can't read that with the photo, I'll try to go by in the next few days and do a rubbing and see what I can get from that.

As I was looking for the cemetery I talked to my wife uncle who lives in the area. When I told him who we were looking for he knew him and where he lived. When we left the cemetery I said why we try to find his home place. Called the uncle again and he told us where to go. We went looking and we were going down a road and I said that that looked like Bonnie June husband Jack. I got out and asked him if he knew Jack and he said that was who he was. He didn't recognize me until I told him who I was. We visited a while then we left but I am going back again. They only live about 3 miles from my brorher in law. I have been going down there 17 years and didn't know I was close to them. So THANKS for involving me in this as I probably would never looked them up.

I wish that Herman's marker were more clear. Both have been under about 6" of sod for quite a long time. Robert's faired better, but I think the engraving process was different.

My 2nd Great Grandmother Martha M Skelton (1832-1868)is my reason for emailing.
I noticed the entries on findagrave for Francis M Frank Skelton (1847-1936)and his wife, Sarah Jane Jannie ALred, and children. They are so wonderfully produced and the pictures are great.
My parents are from around Neosho, Mo and I have been trying to find the Skelton connection between Francis M Skelton and my Skeltons.
It appears that my Skeltons came from Indiana and Illinois along with the Morman Train through Iowa back in the 1800's. They mostly settled up around Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa. Jeremiah (1804-1855), his father: Joseph Skelton (1780-1816)his father: John Skelton (1744-1816)etc
My family tree is MORROW Family Tree and my email is firstname.lastname@example.org

Just uploaded this memorial to Find A Grave. As it looks like this is your line, would you like me to transfer to you for maintenance? There is NO marker at Chico Cemetery for the two burials uploaded (Robert and his wife Edna).

I'll get those photos uploaded as soon as I finished this message. If you ever find the stone or get a replacement I would be glad to oversee anything at the cemetery since I am nearby and, of course, I'll take new pics and post them. :)
