Hi Deborah,
I am the daughter of Annabel Lessman Ahlborn. You maintain her record in Findagrave and her name is misspelled. Would you mind correcting it for me? Thanks.

Killebrew - 23369851
I checked out the link you gave me. Very interesting. The F.A.G. number 23369851 is my husband, Tom's great-grandfather. He was in the civil War and also the sheriff of Marlin, TX. Maybe a family connection. If get a minute would you check any records you have & see if this is possible??

I noticed you had a lot of Killebrews listed. Are you related to any of the ones in Marlin, TX.- Calvary cemetery? Thanks for your time.

RE: Baxter
Just read your profile after I left the message. I would love to invite you to my tree to see what you think. I have another 4 way cousin who goes up through those lines (we meet up at 4 separate ancestral lines) with the Evans and Sappingtons.

RE: Baxter
Fabulous! Was that DNA test on ancestry? I have my DNA test on ancestry along with my son's and my brother's son. Bethuel is one of my "brick walls" and I have postulated that they are intermarried with the Sappingtons along the way. If you are on ancestry, send me your ancestry ID and I will invite you to my public tree where I have collected as much documentation as I can find. I Would like to add someone up that line into my proved Patriots for the DAR.

I would love to hear from your nephew in law. We stopped in New York last April and was hoping to see Harvey, but his brother said he was under the weather. We have cousins in Germany who are tracing the family tree. I've been trying to help on this side of the Atlantic.

Hi Deborah,

Christian's sister, Henrietta, was my grandmother. We still have cousins in Germany. I was able to meet one of them and his wife this last March. Guenter has been working on the German side of the family tree and has made quite a dent in it. I have a copy, but it is in German. He's promised to have it translated to English and send a copy.

I'm still in touch with Christian's grandson, Paul Sutton, but I've lost track of Harvey Sutton and Mattie Angeloni and Susan Angeloni. I do talk via computer with Mattie's mother though. Paul tries to keep us updated on his brother.

I did the DNA thing on, but my DNA won't match up with any of the family's. I was adopted. I got into the family tree when my uncle got a request from Guenter for information on the American Branch of Muench's. Uncle Ed sent it to me and asked me to try to answer it.

I have pictures of John Muench and his wife Henrietta and their home in Omer, Arenac County, MI. John was Christian's father. Also have information on William Muench, the brother of Christian. I have some information on the Kuenneth's as well. Christian's mother's maiden name.

Let me know if anyone there would like the information. Some of it is on Ancestry under Kc8vpu. I'm still digging into records.

Mitchell family at Greenlick cemetery
You might want to add Jessie Mitchell Minnick to the Mitchell family that includes my grandmother Liza Jane Mitchell Boyer. Also, her son, Bill Minnick, just died and my have been buried at Greenlick.

You are doing a great job! Thanks!!,

William Thomas Baxter
I have discovered two Find A Grave Memorials for William Thomas Baxter... Your memorial and one in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche TX. # 80295903
DOB 9 March 1840
DOD 23 Feb 1893
There is a photo of a military headstone with the following information:
William Thomas Baxter CPL Co G 144th Rgmt Illinois Infantry Civil War
William and wife Tonelia had a daughter,
Mary Laura Tonelia Catherine "Lurah" Baxter. She married Thomas Patrick Kelly, who was my great grand uncle. His father was William Hansford Kelly, who was the brother of my great grandmother, Jenny Nevada Kelly Smith.
Do you think that his daughter had this headstone laid in remembrance of her father?
With all the similarities in names and dates this seems to be the same family line.
I look forward to hearing from you. I love the old photo of William Thomas...

RE: Henry Meiser
Well, I'm sorry if that's confusing to you - but there is not an option to add info to a cemetery photo, like there is for other photos added to memorials. I view the stone there as a type of signage to identify the name of the cemetery - and its does says "cemetery photo" under it. Its unfortunate the people who took the trouble and bore the expense of that stone included what I'm sure they considered historical information. I dont believe it was meant to mark someone's final resting place.

Cemetery photos are submitted to Find A Grave for approval - and not just uploaded like other photos. They are a little different - and it was approved by them. You could always try and contact them for a resolution.

And just a note - Henry Meiser's name does not appear on the Wagenseller list of burials from about 1900 for this location - are you sure he's here?

RE: Henry Meiser
Hi Deborah - that photo you see is the cemetery photo, not a photo for Henry Meiser - and it appears on all the memorials at this site. You'll notice the name of the cemetery at the top of the stone. Hope this clarifies. Thanks (I don't always get them right - lol!)
