Mitchell family at Greenlick cemetery
You might want to add Jessie Mitchell Minnick to the Mitchell family that includes my grandmother Liza Jane Mitchell Boyer. Also, her son, Bill Minnick, just died and my have been buried at Greenlick.

You are doing a great job! Thanks!!,

Her name was no Elizabeth it was just Eliza. I know this because she was my grandmother, and thankfully I only got her middle name!

William Thomas Baxter
I have discovered two Find A Grave Memorials for William Thomas Baxter... Your memorial and one in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche TX. # 80295903
DOB 9 March 1840
DOD 23 Feb 1893
There is a photo of a military headstone with the following information:
William Thomas Baxter CPL Co G 144th Rgmt Illinois Infantry Civil War
William and wife Tonelia had a daughter,
Mary Laura Tonelia Catherine "Lurah" Baxter. She married Thomas Patrick Kelly, who was my great grand uncle. His father was William Hansford Kelly, who was the brother of my great grandmother, Jenny Nevada Kelly Smith.
Do you think that his daughter had this headstone laid in remembrance of her father?
With all the similarities in names and dates this seems to be the same family line.
I look forward to hearing from you. I love the old photo of William Thomas...

RE: Henry Meiser
Well, I'm sorry if that's confusing to you - but there is not an option to add info to a cemetery photo, like there is for other photos added to memorials. I view the stone there as a type of signage to identify the name of the cemetery - and its does says "cemetery photo" under it. Its unfortunate the people who took the trouble and bore the expense of that stone included what I'm sure they considered historical information. I dont believe it was meant to mark someone's final resting place.

Cemetery photos are submitted to Find A Grave for approval - and not just uploaded like other photos. They are a little different - and it was approved by them. You could always try and contact them for a resolution.

And just a note - Henry Meiser's name does not appear on the Wagenseller list of burials from about 1900 for this location - are you sure he's here?

RE: Henry Meiser
Hi Deborah - that photo you see is the cemetery photo, not a photo for Henry Meiser - and it appears on all the memorials at this site. You'll notice the name of the cemetery at the top of the stone. Hope this clarifies. Thanks (I don't always get them right - lol!)

Nora Burchell
I see that you created the memorial for Nora C. Burchell in the Greenlick Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Aare you related to her? I have a birth certificate that I found behind a wedding picture of my parents. The birth certificate is for Linda Faye Burchell and is from the Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The parents are on the birth record are John and Nora Burchell. I am wondering if this might be the Noral who is the mother of Linda and if you know how to reach her. I am not sure how my parents might have come into possession of this birth record unless John was in the Air Force in Roswell, New Mexico and served with my father. I would love to get this to her if possible.

RE: Edit Tab
Hi Deborah-Thanks for replying yesterday about the "Edits" tab. I'll be posting results of this on my home page here in a day or two. If you haven't already seen it there is some information about it in the FAQs and on the forums. If you want to scroll through all my messages, contributors Connie A. and also Bill and Elaine Schrock have included links to part of the FAQs. The "old system" for lack of a better term is still fully functional and of course you still get email notifications for those edits, however you do not get email notifications for edits sent to you through the new system, so you'll need to keep checking the "Edits" tab on your home page. If it has a number in it, then you have pending edits. You can use both the new and the old systems, but the new does not do everything yet. You cannot request links or add sources through the new system. You have to do those the usual way, through the old system. Hope this helps. Take care.

"Edits" tab on home page
HI - I'm doing a quick survey of about 400 people on my friends list just to see how many are aware of the new "Edits" tab on their home page. If you could just shoot me back a brief response, either way that would be great. Thanks.
