Brian, Thank you so much for the information about Sarah Elizabeth Grant being Daniel Boone's adoptive daughter. It cleared it up for me. Shirley

Are you a descendant of Daniel Boone?
Hi Brian, Are you a descendant of Daniel Boone & if so, how are you related to him? Moses Dorton is my 4th great grandfather & I know that Moses & Elizabeth Paralee (Dorton) Hogan are siblings, so we are probably related. Thank you, Shirley

Anna Dost at Forest Home Cemetery
Hi! Almost no one fulfills photo requests at Forest Home Cemetery because the cemetery staff does not appreciate photographers and they will not supply them with burial plots. The plot you placed in the memorial is incomplete.

But you can get the complete burial plot by calling the cemetery at 773-287-0772 or try e-mailing deborah.bluck@foresthomecemetery.net if you cannot talk to someone.

Since there are over 150,000 burials at the cemetery, finding someone's grave without a plot (Section and Lot Number) is nearly impossible. Ace

Louis & Sarah Oshel Pictures
Hi Brian,
Would you be good enough to remove one of the duplicate headstone pics from Louis Oshel's memorial#88009163 and rotate the remaining picture and also rotate the headstone picture on Sarah's memorial #88010181 so that they are readable. Thanks so much.
Sharon

BLESSING
Mary Sutherland-Cook, Memorial# 55672245
Brian, thank you for the photo of Mary Cook's headstone. Even without the date of her death inscribed, it gives a more personal feel to her memorial. I would like to be able to pay to have it inscribed, I hope to contact some of the family & get that done. It's hard to believe it has been 40 years since her death.

Probably like my Great Grandmother and my Great Great Grandmother who I didn't even know, until recently, through the kindness of another Findagrave member, where they were buried & that neither of them even have a headstone.

Thank You again for your many contributions,
Debbie

Find a grave memorial 74153117 Kit Carson duplication
Tried email but got email back that I am not sure about regarding spam problems and requiring me to respond to it, so I am using this format.

Could you please delete your memorial for Kit Carson as it is a duplicate of an older memorial. Debbie could not delete it. She is also managing the older memorial.

Thanks

David

August Anderson
Hi Brian. I see that someone before me looked thru Bear Lake Township Cemetery for your August Anderson. There was an August H. Anderson, a World War I vet - any relation?

I will be in Fairview Cemetery, and also Pleasanton soon and will keep eye out in case he's there. Karen

RE: General David Hogan
Hi Brian
I did a little looking around online, and it looks like "General" was a nickname, not his military rank. It should probably be written inside quotes to avoid confusion. Thanks again for your help. Find A Grave volunteers are the best!!!

Find A Grave Memorial# 22161763
Hi, Brian
Can you tell me why David Hogan is called "Gen," which I assume means "General?" I have not been able to find any references that would allow him to use that title. FYI, I am a descendant of Moses Dorton.
Thanks.

RE: my email
Hi Brian, I am so excited to hear from you and that you are related. I will email you later today with the information as I am about ready to go to work. It will come from either klassikat or andrea_98466@yahoo.com and have Mr. Henschler's name in the subject line. I also may have sent you a message through Ancestry too. Or it was to another relative. Can't tell on Ancestry sometimes what the names of the people you are contacting are. Later. Andi

Laura Plummer Ranville
Lars Anderson at Oak Grove
Hi Brian,
I checked at the cemetery office again, and showed them your description of the burial lot (sw 1/4 of 36-22-17, lots 9-16) and the woman who helped me did not recognize that description as any they used or that she was familiar with. But, as I said before, they did have him buried in row 11 lot 82. Scanning the other Anderson burials there, (and there are a lot) we found a couple of other names that look like they are buried close to Lars:
Emma Anderson row 11, lot 81
Edwin Anderson row 11, lot 80
I went back out and walked the entire area that rows 9-20 are located in and I finally found Lars' stone. It's flat in the ground and was almost covered by overgrown grass. I took a photo of the surrounding area and attached it to Lar's memorial. You can see there are no other markers in quite a wide expanse surrounding his marker.

Hope this helps you.
Laura
