RE: Ira Clay Schlagel (Memorial# 100478567)

Brenda,

Thank you very much for transferring Goldia and Ira to my management. Goldia has three more siblings that I have not yet located and I hope to begin working on that when I get time. I have leads to the burial locations of Edna and Grace, but have not had a chance to pursue them. However, I have not located information as to a death date or burial location for her brother Elmer.

I have already linked Ira to Goldia, and Goldia to her parents. I also added a couple pictures to Goldia's memorial.
Just let me know if I can help you sometime.

Regards,

Paul

RE: Ira Clay Schlagel (Memorial# 100478567)

Brenda,

I would love to manage Goldia's and her family's memorials, if you are willing to transfer. I will link her memorial to her parents and post her picture. Thank you so very much for sharing. If I can return the favor, please don't hesitate to ask.
BTW, from which Clary line are you descended? My grandfather was Lewellyn Clary (1882-1952). As I mentioned before, he was Goldia's brother.

Best regards,

Ira Clay Schlagel (Memorial# 100478567)
Hello Brenda,

Last year I surveyed every grave marker at Greenbottom Cemetery and created a spreadsheet of memorials to post on Find A Grave. Unfortunately, I did not record information for markers for Goldia, George, or Ira Schlagel. If the markers existed, I would have surely recorded them because Goldia was my grandfather's youngest sister, making her my great aunt. I have done quite a bit of research on this particular Clary line since I am a direct decendant of Goldia's father.

I have particular interest in Greenbottom Memorial Park because many of my family members and long-time friends and acquainces are buried there as I will also be when my days are ended. If Goldia and her family are not in your direct line will you consider transferring management of their memorials to me so I can create appropriate links? If she is in your direct line, I will be happy to provide you with information so you can create these links to her parents and siblings yourself.

Best regards,

Paul Clary (#47561456)

RE: 93373573 Robert Lancaster
Sure, this is the Robert someone posted a photo request for, I tried to find him. Records show he in section D lot 198 which IS a Lancaster lot. Buried in 1954... if he were at least 17 during the Civil War, lived to 1954, he'd be over 105 years old. There's no such grave stone in the lot. I found 3 Robert Lancaster's there: one died in 1902 whom I suspect was the soldier, he's the right age. Another (a child) in 1926, and the 3rd (Robert Jr.) died in 1940. I think this "Robert II" is a faulty record. He shows in the lookup alright, but the burial date can be misleading. Any one of these Roberts might have been buried elsewhere, them removed to THIS lot in 1954, hence "buried in 1954." You could call the records office and simply inquire... how many Robert's are in this lot? They'd probably solve the mystery for you. Oh and to answer your question, yes I know "graves" whose real name is Bee. I can edit her memorials, or delete IF you learn this record is wrong. The Hollywood office is 804-648-8501, ask for Mabel or Woody. Rich.

Cully sisters in Orion Cemetery, Major County, Oklahoma
Hi Brenda:

This headstone was very faded and weathered. One of the sisters was on one side, the other side had the other sister, if I remember correctly. You could just barely make out names. It was over 100 degrees the day I walked and photographed this cemetery so I did not stop to chalk any of the older stones. This stone was in the oldest section of the cemetery. Sorry I can't be of more help. We have quite a few family members here, so I usually photograph all of a smaller cemetery so that when I get home, I can connect other members of the community. We live about 5 hours away.

RE: Clary Burials @ Magnolia
Hello again:

My husband and I went to the cemetery and added all of the pictures we could until it became dark. There are a few more stones to be photographed but very few. I hope this helps. It has been a pleasure to do this and next time I am in Laurel Hill, I will look one more time.

Hi Brenda,

I assume you don't mean Grover Cleveland Clary #27243591? I don't recall the exact circumstances of the photo I took, but I would have looked for any other Clarys when I took her grave photo because I like to add family groups. I will transfer her memorial to you and wish you the best in your search.

Best, Cami

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I have no first hand knowledge of this family. I entered many of the records at Riverview based on some copies that I made of a book that had been compiled by the local historical society on the cemetery.

Brenda,

Sorry for the late reply on your request for Blanche Clary. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis.

Per your request I have posted Blanche's grave marker photo for you.

RE: Problems with FAG??
Oh Brenda!

That is so scary! I would surely hate to lose the ability to use Find A Grave, but if the site becomes a problem for viruses and malware, I will certainly stop visiting there until I have assurance that it is clean. Thank you VERY much for the warning. I do appreciate it and I will certainly be watchful for mysterious occurrences when logged to that site.

As for Ancestry, if I learn that there are dangers there, I will drop my subscription. I do not want to PAY to get computer problems!

I am so sorry that these issues have happened to you. Please keep me informed as you learn more.

Best regards,

Paul

RE: Problems with FAG??

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate your acknowledgement.

Concerning viruses on Find A Grave, I can't say for sure that I have gotten any malware from the site, but of course, it IS possible. I very seldom actually download or copy from the site. I usually am either just viewing the pages or ocassionally uploading new information. HOWEVER, I do know that only a few days ago, my antivirus software popped up a warning flag about a virus threat while I was on the site. That indicated to me that SOMETHING was going on, so I immediately closed my browser, then reopened it which seemed to clear things up. Sometimes when I am scrolling from page to page on any particular cemetery to view 'all interments' a blank page will appear and I will have to click the 'reload' icon to continue. This seems a little fishy to me, because clicking the 'back' button does not return me to the previous page.

What sorts of symptoms are you seeing?

Regards,

Paul
