William Peters
Thank you for posting the grave of William Peters at Bellefountaine Cemetery. His ID number is 65623487. I would like to ask if either (a)you would transfer him to me or (b) allow me to add info to his bio and link him to his wife and baby daughter, whose sites I manage. I would very much appreciate having the opportunity to add info about his life. We was a very active businessman in the Mt. Vernon community.

Thanks for your efforts!

Francis Beck / Mary Beck
Thank you so much for posting the photo of the gravestone of my great grandfather, Francis Beck (1841-1895), located in the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mount Vernon Indiana. Also, his son Oscar (1875-1892).

Francis Beck was a civil war veteran who lived much of his life in White County Illinois. I don't believe his wife, Mary Beck, is buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery. She moved to Fitzgerald Georgia in 1895 after her husband died. From there she moved to Waycross Georgia and finally to Tampa Florida, where she passed away in 1935 at the age of 92. I believe she is buried in Tampa along with her youngest daughter Grace Victoria.

I had no record of when Francis Beck died or where he was buried until I found your Find A Grave posting. Again Thank you for taking the time to create the site.

John R. Wallace Memorial 60373261
Regarding the memorial for John R. Wallace in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery--
I send an earlier edit 4 Oct 2013 which was incorrect and should be ignored. It has not yet been processed.

Could you please contact me regarding this memorial. I have a couple of questions which will help me determine which John Wallace this is and then I can offer additional information and proof which is too lengthy for a public message.

Thanks for your help.

name
I walked the whole Black Cemetery, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. The name Wilhelm M. Tuell matched the name info on the headstone for Wilhelm M. Foell. Could their be a mistake on the last name. I added the picture for you to see. If I am wrong, I can delete it or you can.

Craig Battrick
Ephraim Brank
Hi Crystal,

You may want to edit the entry regarding Ephraim Brank (b 1791 d 1875). He couldn't have been a Revolutionary War hero since he wasn't born until 1791, several years after the end of the Revolution. The entry would be accurate if it said something like this:

Known as the "Kentucky Long Rifleman" for his marksmanship in the War of 1812's Battle of New Orleans, Brank had a devastasting effect on the morale of the British. They quickly learned that when he raised his rifle, one of them was going to die.

I'd be curious to know where the sobriquet "Kentucky Long Rifleman" comes from. The Wikipedia article doesn't mention it. It would be nice if you could cite that reference.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephraim_Brank for details on Brank's effect on the British.

Regards,

Craig

Thank You so much for taking the picture of my Grandmother Polly Agnes Carroll she is my great grandmother. I meet her one time. She loved to quilt. Even though she was blind she did all her quilting by hand! I am new to this site, but If you want to transfer her number to me I would take it. (not sure how to do that) her # is 63801892. by any chance are you related to her? Pam Hawn
