RE: Marble Cemetery
(see photo of headstone/inscription - where Rachel McKenzie is listed on the headstone Memorial# 8113230 - it shows: Inscription: Beneath this stone rest the remains of.... Rachel Bokee died Oct. 15, 1836)

If you could, like you did with the others, put a link on your Marble memorial # 135844322 to this page # 169822252 at Greenwood, it would be great.

The contents of Vault 88 at Marble, our Olyphant/Bokee ancestors, were removed to Greenwood - many reburied in the same plot at Green-wood. I had checked too, to try to verify, but, both the online records for Green-wood and Marble seem to be incomplete at times. Marble’s record don’t indicate her as “removed” - which may have been an oversight in recording and/or transcribing records - which may be why Green-wood didn’t have the information to add at re-interment time? (Frederick Bokee, who was shown in 2003 on Marble online records - “Bokee, Frederick (hus of Rachel Mckenzie) age 61 18 Oct 1836 b 1775 Removed to Green-Wood “, now seems to be missing from their current online searchable records? And in 2003, on their records, Rachel was NOT listed, and now she is)

Isabella Heermann
I am the great grand daughter of Isabella Garcia de la Huerta Heermann. Thank you for all the hours you have spent on posting information on Find a Grave.

I noticed that Isabella's last name needs correction on the site. (Hermann vs Heermann). It is correctly spelled on the grave stone.

She was married to a wild famous German violinist, Hugo Heermann. One of her son's, Norbert, lived in Woodstock.

Please feel free to contact me anytime.

RE: Mrs. Andrew Brunette child of Aaron E. Van De Bogart
That's her - for some reason, she was in Oregon at the end of her life. I'm just learning Geneology. I've been using and some work a great aunt completed. I'll try ordering some records one day soon. Thanks

RE: Mrs. Andrew Brunette child of Aaron E. Van De Bogart

No I haven't seen one for her. She passed away towards the end of the 90s circa 1994-1999. I believe she was very much alone at the time. She went by the name Charlotte Rhoton after late husband Charles Rhoton.

I'll take a closer look.

Mrs. Andrew Brunette child of Aaron E. Van De Bogart
Hi Marie,

I am the great grandson of Aaron Van de Bogart and Mabel Crane. My grandmother was Charlotte Van de Bogart and was later known as Charlotte Brunette by marriage to my grandpa Andy Brunette. In the obituary for Aaron E. Van de Bogart, she is listed as a surviving child and listed as Mrs. Andrew Brunette.

I noticed her name is not listed in the find a grave posting as one of his children.

All the best,
Garth Bradley

You're very welcome. Sorry it wasn't a better photo but the weathering and sun glare made it hard to read in their shots I took. Glad you were able to get all the dates you needed. Martha

Best regards,

RE: Mary Lay Hart, Marble Cemetery
Marie, Thank you for changing the date of death for Mary Lay Hart. I've been told that Marble Cemetery found her in the register after all, in 1865. Therefore, the note on the Find A Grave memorial (Note: Not in register; probably reinterment Mar 1864) no longer makes sense. Perhaps you can remove that statement from the memorial.

Mary Lay Hart, Marble Cemetery
With regard to Mary Lay Hart (Find A Grave Memorial# 72919302), whose record is associated with Marble Cemetery: I just found her obituary in the 15 Mar 1865 issue of the New York Herald; it says she died 14 Mar [1865]. Therefore, her death of death as given (14 Mar 1863) in the Marble Cemetery record cannot be correct. The Find A Grave memorial states "Note: Not in register; probably reinterment Mar 1864." The reinterment date is not correct, either.

RE: Marble Cemetery
Thank you so, SO much, Marie, for linking your Marble Cemetery (from vault 88) memorial pages for Bokee/Olyphants that were removed from Marble to their final resting places, There is one more that is at GreenWood, but no memorial page was made for her when the other original memorials were set up. You have her at Marble under memorial # 135844322 Rachel McKenzie Bokee. Do you want to switch her to Greenwood, or would you prefer that I make a new memorial for her, then you can link yours to the new memorial and leave yours as basically a cenotaph like was just done with the rest?

My pleasure. I had actually created a memorial for "Unknown Woodhull". I'm just glad it found it's home.

RE: Marble Cemetery
I so very much appreciate the level of interesting details you have added to your memorials at Marble Cemetery; perhaps you could email with a link to the memorials of those “removed” from Marble and a message to mark them as cenotaphs. The immense amount of time and work you have put into this project is so inspiring, Marie, and I thank you for that!

If you prefer linking, rather than submitting edits to the original memorials, can I ask that you link your info to the following:

Asenath "Sinai" Chipman

I'm so sorry you deleted your memorial for Asenath Chipman because it had her gravestone photo on it, and her accurate date of death, which isn't on the current memorial. In fact, the current memorial has an erroneous date of death.

I was sincerely hoping that the other contributor would merge her memorial with yours so that everyone would benefit, but that's no longer possible. I didn't copy down Asenath's death date from your memorial and am wondering if you would be willing to send me a transcription of the information on her tombstone for my own records. I would be very grateful.

Last, I'm hoping you submit the correct date of death as an edit on the existing memorial. It would be wonderful if you'd upload your gravestone photo to the memorial as well, but if you prefer not to do that, I understand. I might not want to do it either.

Hello. My grandfather is Robert Dibernardo. I see that there is a picture of a plot on the website here that was added by you. I was wondering how do you know him, and is there really a plot at this cemetary? I would love to visit. Please let me know.
