RE: John R Wheeler Bogue
DEBBIE 19 NOV 2015:

Hi Kati,

I found info on Maggie's twin and have added a memorial for him in the same cemetery. He died in 1905 at age 16.

Are you descended from this family?

KATI 20 NOV 2015:

Hi Debbie,

The Bogue children are the younger half-siblings of my Lampton cousins. The previously widowed mother of all of them was Lydia Ann (nee Hopkins) Lampton Bogue, who had three sons with her first husband Marcus Tullius Cicero Lampton (all are my maternal cousins) and five daughters and two sons with her second husband Moses Henry Bogue (none are related to me). All are in my family tree at Ancestry though.

MANY THANKS for finding John's obituary. He appears as "Wheeler J. Bogue" on the 1900 census and all the other researchers at Ancestry have him posted that way as I did. I've updated him in my tree and included his obituary specifically giving you credit for your research and help. You've been a Godsend to our family trees!

With heartfelt thanks,

DEBBIE 19 NOV 2015:

I wanted to let you know that I have added and linked a memorial for daughter, Maggie Lee, who was apparently a twin to Wheeler mentioned in the bio section. I found her obituary in the Cullman Tribune and have typed it in the bio. It mentions that her twin brother now sleeps alone.

Best regards,

KATI 19 NOV 2015:

Hi Debbie,

How very kind of you! I've added little Maggie Lee Bogue to my family tree at Ancestry thanks to your invaluable help.

Added her husband. Thanks for the info!

I've run into the same issues as you did with the system treating it as a duplicate. I figured out you can go into your Edits tab and delete the original request, then resubmit it with both the parents and spouse listed.

I checked my notes and I don't see it. My mother talks to their son regularly. I'll check with her. I have a picture of Louise at my wedding I would like to add to her memorial if that's ok with you.

Hulsey line
Hey Debbie,

Wanted to ask you, if you wanted control over my Hulsey family that I have on this site in my name, I am trying to decide whom would benefit more with them and thought of you, I am only keeping my mother and dad's close line, because of the hateful treatment of find a grave people...I thought about just deleting all of them, however, thought of other's whom would want to see there ancestors stone and the like, so transferring is better

Hubert and Lillian Whaley Grave Markers
Hi Debbie,

I was in Hanceville and Cullman 22-26 of October,
and visited the Fairview cemetery while there.
I have added pictures for both Charles Hubert and
Lillian Smith Whaley. I noticed on the large
marker for them that Charles has the "Mason"
symbol above his name, and that Lillian had the
"Eastern Star" symbol above hers. I noted on her
memorial for her that she was a member of that
organization. I thought you might like to do the
same for Charles. Enjoy the pictures.

Glad to help out. I really enjoyed photographing Ebenezer, but it took me a lot longer than I expected to crop/edit and upload all of them. :-)

Thank you Debbie for giving me this information on Baily Bone I now have it recorded right. It is sometimes hard to know which person is right when several have the same name. Thanks again. LaVonne Coke

RE: McPherson
I have done very little to the Reid line of the family. Maybe you can answer this for me? Lewin & Hannah Weir McPherson had a daughter, Nancy that married James Turner MacMurchy who died in 1949 in Chicago. Nancy married a Whitlock and she died in 1994 in Wilmington DE and her body was cremated and ashes scattered. A memorial was placed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Evanston IL. Any info on the"Whitlock" spouse? Also, any idea where Hal Weir McPherson is buried?

RE: McPherson
I am also related to the Reid family. My 3X grandmother is Elizabeth May Reid Adams is buried at Old Bethel Cemetery In Carroll County, GA. Her husband is Absalom Adams.

RE: Betty McLaurin Burks
Regarding Haskell D. Burks...
I have been able to "cobble" a little bit on him, but he is rather elusive!
What I have been able to figure out is that he was born 26 November 1926 in Georgia. I found that on a U.S. Directory that placed him at 465 Jeff Davis Pl. in Fayetteville, GA in 1992.
Fayetteville figures into the rest of what I found.
He is the son of
Jesse Kirby Burks
b. 3 Oct 1902 Douglasville, GA
d. 18 Dec 1990 Clayton co., GA
Reba D. Kilgo or Killgore
b. 2 Oct 1904 GA
d. 4 Aug 1998 Fayette Co., GA

Haskell and Betty had 3 children: 2 boys and a girl: Michael D., Alan and Laurie.

I hope this helps you out some.

RE: Betty McLaurin Burks
Make sure her maiden name is "McLarin" without the u in it.
Her given name was Elizabeth Jane McLarin, but it appears she always went by Betty.

Davis Jefferson Reid
Hi Deb,
I am going to transfer this memorial to you. It seems like I should have a connection but I don't see it. A few months ago I had to reconfigure my trees so I may have lost something.
This is what you sent me to update:

Their children were:
Eunice Reid Neal 1907-1996
Ralph Trenton Reid 1908-1961
Mary M Reid 1912-
Iva Gladys Reid Hanchey 1914-1989
Davis Leo Reid 1918-1934

FYI... Eunice was married to Williard Neal & they both died in Fayetteville GA. Haven't found additional info on Mary after the 1920 census. Iva died in DeKalb Co GA.

We are working on family history for My husband, Rev. Howard David Biggers (David). His maternal grandparents were Starling Marion Biggers and Effie Howard-Biggers. One of her children is buried in Little Vine Church Cemetary.

Trumie Still Waldrop Thompson
Sorry, after the original contributor transferred her memorial to me, I did not correct her maiden name. I don't know where GA Firefighter got Smith.

I also, have all the information concerning her marriage to Vernon Waldrop and their children. Also Trumie's parents and siblings.

Thanks for reminding me, so that the correction could be made.
