RE: Sanders in Georgia
while you are looking, check out Find A Grave in Hart and Madison county in GA. In 1800, it was Franklin county. There are a huge number of Sanders there and was on the migratory route out of NC to the west. Many siblings of these Sanders also migrated to Alabama. Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Yours should tie to these.
Best regards,

Kristi, I understand about how ugly some people can get. Because of this, I am limiting my research. I notice the transfer did take place.

Just wanted to say thank you for such a sweet email. I did note on her memorial that her name could be Rebecca Pearl or Pearl Rebecca.
lol...the oddest thing though...when I went to her memorial and saw that there was no pic of the headstone I assumed I had created it from the cemetery transcript. I then looked on the transcript and could not find her name????? It's a mystery as we photographed cemetery first and then I went back and listed from the transcript. I have no idea where I got her information from.
Once again, thank you for your email and we did enjoy the effort at Hope.

There is a memorial for a person of this name #10577090, but he was born in 1921, so cannot be Elizabeth's son. Do you know who he is?

Robinett Connection
Hello, It appears we share some Robinett relatives and perhaps others on the Lynch and others based on some memorials you manage on Find-a-Grave.

Michael Mack "Mike" Robinett was my 3rd Great Grand Uncle. His older brother, James L Robinett was my 3rd GGrandfather-James' wife, Mary Angeleine Jones, my 3rd GGrandmother. Their daugher, Virginia Elizabeth "Jennie" Robinett was my 2nd GGrandmother with her 1st husband, Jesse Morgan Rasco; their daughter Martha Melvina RASCO Lynch was their only child and my 2nd paternal/maternalGGrandmother. She married John B Lynch: their oldest child - Elizabeth Ellen LYNCH Lane was my paternal Grandmother.

How are you related to this clan?

I have several stories and details/information to share if you are interested. Message me with your email address and I'm happy to forward.

RE: Elzie Lee 'EL' Pittman
Hi Kristi,

I want to thank you so much for transferring my grandparents memorials over to me! I was so hoping that someone kind had their memorials, and I thank God it was you! I'm the baby of their grandkid's, so I had a very special relationship with them each! I miss them so, but I know you know how that feels!

I have to admit I was surprised by your reply because we have probably crossed paths many times! I honestly have to say I don't remember you by name, but I bet I would know you by face! I was up there all the time when my grandparent's were in the hospital, and have been a patient myself there as recent as 2008. Thank you for the kind words you wrote about them, and my Aunt Wanda! That woman means the world to me! I'm so glad to know your friends! I have to admit that I didn't know Darrell remarried since his divorce from Teresa. As you know our family is sooo huge, so I don't usually hear things until family reunions. And we haven't had one of those in years I'm sad to say! Hopefully we'll get around to one before too much longer!

I want you to know if you ever need anything I can help you with in your researches on here please don't hesitate to ask! Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! May God bless and be with your family always!

Elzie Lee 'L' Pittman
Hi Kristi,
It's me again! I just realized you were also the one who added my grandfather, El Pittman. Can you please transfer him to me, too? I would truly appreciate your kindness in letting me manage my grandmother and grandfather's memorials, and again thank you for adding him, too. If ever there is anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask! Again, thank you and God bless you and yours!

Deno Laverne Blaylock Pittman
Hi Kristi,
My name is Bobbie McKittrick and my grandmother is Deno Laverne Blaylock Pittman. I noticed you are the one who added her and some of my other 'Blaylock' family. As we have such a large family I was wondering if you are related in any way to my grandmother? I, also, want you to know I put a name change in for my grandmother as she absolutely hated her first name, Deno, and NEVER used it! She wouldn't even have it put on her tombstone! Most people would never find her on here with that name, I even had trouble finding her! :) Please know I'm not blaming you for that tho! Also, I was really hoping you would transfer her to me, it would mean so much! I want to thank you for all the hard work you have done on FindaGrave, and for adding my grandmother! Thank you, and God bless you and your family!

Susan E. Gardner Hodnett

I received an email this morning from Find A Grave saying they had accepted my "edit suggestion" for Susan Elizabeth Gardner's middle name. This was my original suggestion I had sent them BEFORE you and I had exchanged emails on the subject.

No problem for you to put it back like it was, since you control the memorial page !!

Can you believe the length of time it took them to respond to the edit ???

Susan E. Gardner Hodnett
Dear Kristi,

Like you, I have only seen Susan's middle name as Elizabeth or just the letter "E."

I went to Plainview, TX, on two different occasions to do research with Virdie Hodnett Egger. She and I probably worked together for 20 years, primarily researching the Hodnett line. She shared an awful lot of her information with me over the years. The two of us would try to "pick each other's brains" about all the unanswered questions we'd run across until one of us could come up with evidence to support or reject our ideas. She and I were both alike in that we only trusted our own research and would not accept what someone else thought unless they showed us proof. I absolutely go ballistic when I see errors perpetuated on the Internet by those who only know how to plagiarize.....not do real research. An example of this is a man named Hank Rogers, who has decided all the early Hodnetts in America had to have had middle names. So, on FindAGrave, he has picked out some middle names for various Hodnetts and stuck them in there. He says he got all those names from a man in Alabama and even though I keep telling him he is putting incorrect data on the Internet....he refuses to take them down. That is a situation of flat out plagiarism.

Virdie H. Egger did the research and proved that John Hodnett (1786-1867), who married Elizabeth Tigner HAD NO MIDDLE NAME and yet it keeps being passed around that his middle name was WYATT. This error was started years ago when a genealogist for the Colonial Dames or the DAR (I can't remember which at the moment) decided to compile data on the Collier Family. Well, she made mistakes with this being one of them, and of course her errors are still on the Internet, though those of us who do serious research know her work has finally been recognized as too erroneous and is no longer accepted by researchers. Now, all her errors have a "life of their own." But, there's nothing we can do about it.

I believe the error in Susan's name is entirely my fault. I know it had to have occurred when I was reading Virdie's material on the Gardners and mistakingly put the middle name of Eloner / Elener in the younger Susan E. Gardner's name.
It should have belonged in Susan E. Stephenson Gardner....our Susan's mother !!

What do you think ? I haven't researched the Gardners and wasn't paying attention to Virdie's data on them. I do have in my notes that Virdie verified the Eloner as the middle name..I just put it in the wrong generation !

I do apologize for my error and I'm glad to have it corrected.

Thanks for getting in touch about this....

Marie aka "Ann"
