RE: DNA link
My fathers side is Rodriguez on the paternal side, mostly from Mississippi and Louisiana. On my fathers maternal side, she was last name Welch, from Kirby, Arkansas. On my moms side, Taylor is her maiden name and originally from Wisconsin. Moms maternal side was Peterson also from Wisconsin.

RE: Sarah Vines Goodgame
Hi Connie, thank you so much for the info on Sarah/Sally Viines. All of it is new to me. Sorry I'm so long getting back to you. I haven't had much time for geneology lately but things should lighten up after Christmas. How can I arrange to get a copy of the picture that you mentioned? I appreciate anything that you would like to share. Thanks again. Winnie

RE: Guilford Strickland
Wow. Thanks Connie. All of the information you told me matched what I have. The only difference I have is that he MAY be the son of a John Strickland that was found in the 1820,1830 and 1840 Laurens Co., GA census. I am a descendant through Guilford and Rhoda. Their fourth (and last) son together, William Isaiah, was my great great grandfather. William's second son, Stephen Monroe, was my great grandfather. Stephen's only son, Charles Alton, was my grandfather. Charles' only son, Alton Eugene, is my father. But, with the info I have regarding Guilford's birth, it made sense to me since he did marry Rhoda in Muscogee County, GA (which is Columbus area). It made sense that he may have been born in Laurens County, GA (Dublin area) which is almost directly due east of Muscogee County. BUT, any other information that you can dig up or have PLEASE let me know. I have ALWAYS wanted to know where the Strickland's came from. I have plenty of other information of other family lines, except the Strickland's and Guilford was as far back I have ever known. Thank you so much

Guilford Strickland
Hi, I just found this site and have digging to find relatives through my family tree. I saw your addition of Guilford Strickland and would like to know what you know about him. I believe through family records that I have that he would be my great great great grandfather. Assuming this is the same Guilford Strickland, my records also show that he was born in Laurens County, Georgia. That would differ from the birth record you have showing on his memorial (North Carolina). I am just beginning this search, so if you would enlighten me on information you have regarding this Guilford Strickland I would appreciate it. Thanks so much.
