RE: Re: Christopher Columbus
OK. Dink Logan came to Borden County in 1879 with 1500 head of cattle with Nick Beal, his uncle, from Milam County, Texas. Beal started the Jumbo Ranch and Dink was a cowboy.
He later worked in Garza County for the O. S. ranch, possibly just for roundup and was a great horseman and a great dancer according to a young lass who danced with him a number of times.
We have a photo of him, wearing a big hat and sitting upon his horse. We are including him in our Arcadia book "Early Settlers of the Panhandle Plains, being released in July, 2013.
I am sure Dink is a nickname and that is all we can find on him.
Any help would be appreciated.
