You're very welcome. (She's my 3rd g-grandma) It's great to know we can all share info and help each other out!
Just to let you know, the small stone in front has L. T. B. on it. I think it might have been the older marker until the larger one came along. But I'm only guessing.
Thank you for your thank you!

You are welcome. It takes time to get them all in when we go we try to photograph the entire cemetery and usually do more than one in a day.
Glad to be of help.

|Russell Alan Babcock||RE: Wardell Memorial Cemetery|
My source "Wanda" said she got her updated info from a relative in the area and made the change for my people over to Dry Bayou. I've found no official records or headstone to prove either way. Good luck in your hunting.

It appears "Wanda" the creator of memorials #79909315 & #82796872 has recently changed the cemetery name to Dry Bayou Cemetery & it is located about 10 miles South-East from the town of Wardell. I have a distant cousin who lives in the Hayti area and I'll ask him to check things out when he has some time. What is your family members name?

Thank you so much for checking into this for me, I really appreciate it. I live in Kentucky and am close to New Albany Indiana, I will try to find address or phone number to see if I can verify if Edward's middle name is Jerome. Not sure if they can help with this are not? Still pretty comfortable that it is, as his brother Charles' middle name is Joseph.
Again Carole thanks so much for your help and look forward to hearing from you about Edward's wife Betty.
Peace & Blessings

|Todd Whitesides||Mother of God|
Thanks, Carole. I just wanted to have your memorial listed for the appropriate cemetery. Also, there is another burial place here in Covington sometimes called Old Mother of God Cemetery. It was referred to as St Joseph Cemetery before that name came into use, and since the early 1900s has usually been referred to as Buena Vista Cemetery. So there is a lot to be confused by in this city and its old cemeteries. Good luck in your research. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Happy to have found one you wanted. It was right next to his wife's stone but faces west so got photographed at another time, I guess. Any others from Frankfort Cemetery? Let me know. I am there a lot right now. It is deer and turkey season. It is as well not to provide an extra target along the fencerow during that time.

|Toni Mivelaz||Edward J. Mivelaz|
I don't have any documentation to verify Edward's middle name. His brother is Charles Joseph, so I'm pretty sure Edward's is Jerome. His sister, my great aunt gave me a lot of their family info, however she is deceased now. Pretty comfortable with Jerome. I've checked some other genealogy websites, but they just list middle initial as J? Any questions or problems please let me know. Also,if you can provide the name and mailing address or phone number to the cemetery, I will be glad to contact them to see if I can verify this info.
I was also wondering about a photo of Edward's wife's tombstone. There is a memorial page for her but it doesn't mention what cemetery she is in. Her name is Betty Cummins Mivelaz and she is probably buried with Edward. If you get a chance to head towards the cemetery and have time to check would wonderful.
Thank you so much for your help Carol, you are greatly appreciated

I will check, seems like his sister gave me the information, but she is deceased now. I will check my file and see if I can find out for sure. Edward Jerome Mivelaz was a twin to Edwin Julius Mivelaz, however Edwin died at a very young age, before age 2. Will get back with you on this and thank you so much for your help.

There are a lot of stones in Frankfort Cemetery that are not on the index list. And a lot of mistakes on the list, but the place has been open since 1846 and they are bound to have lost track of a couple hundred of the 25000+ there. I have the index and I have the book of names on stones. In the end it is best just to walk it. Always a good walk!

My name is Karen Brown. I am a daughter of Edith Snearly Brown who passed away this month, followed in two weeks by her second daughter Marsha Paulette Brown Nebeker. Sadly, Mom was the last of her generation and she was ready to join her siblings.
I know you have tracked her family as descendants of William Alexander. I have been doing family research since 2000. I'd like a copy of Anguish Alexander's will as you so generously offer. Is it in a format to be e-mailed? Please advise of what information you need to do this. Thanks in advance.

|handtmorgan||RE: Jacob Hurr|
Carole, I have made the transfer. Semira is from my line of Hurr ancestors, but you are a more direct relative to her.
Jacob S Hurr, the 1st, actually died in Odessa Missouri,and I have located his grave in person at the segregated "white" section of the Mount Hebron Cemetery there. His father's name was actually Johann Jacob Hurr.
Venita Hurr Foster wrote a book called Climb with me my family tree, which was donated to 30 genealogy centers in the US. That is where I got photos of Jacob Hurr 1 & 2, and also Semira Winn.
I don't have any photos of Malvina besides your headstone photos.

I usually transfer when requested. Unfortunately, Hurr is my maiden name, so I would like to retain this memorial.
However, I have not found a direct link to Samira on my family line. Please send more info on her so that I can determine if there is a relation to my Hurr line. If she is not in my line, then I will be happy to transfer her memorial page to you.

hi carole. yes it appears we are absolutely cousins. thomas' sister myrtilla was my g-g-grandmother. apparently there are letters that survive between the callaway mo family, the fleming, ky family and the urbana ohio family. i'm trying to find burial location (surely in callaway co., mo) for douglas (d.1853) and elizabeth (1877).
there's a sad story about our cousin harvey rawlings jr. i would explain but its best if you google it up.
i appreciate your comment on burial unknown's (BU's). they should be treated better by the system. you may have seen my bio, says don't bully me about BUs.
always nice to hear from a cousin. hope you find thomas' site without any troubles. regards, t.g.

|Family Finder||RE: Zelbert Prewitt/Fred hawkins|
Regarding your question on place of burial for Zelbert Prewitt, in doing our family research we have encountered several situations where we could not find a marker in the cemetery for a person but the death certificate showed the person was buried there. We have always relied on the certificate. If his death certificate shows he is buried at Bethel Baptist that is how we would list it and note there is no marker.
Have a good day.
