No matter how many times I proofread something, I always seem to overlook an error. Of course, I meant "correcting", not "correctly".

DAVID THOMAS LENOX MEMORIALS
Just ck'd the "memorial" memorial at Blue Mtn Cem and it looks great and the link also works perfectly! And I noted that the person I contacted about their using the wrong memorial number for linking has changed it to the correct cemetery and now the children are showing up on the West Union Cem. memorial. Many thanks for your assistance in correctly the situation.

RE: Raymond Shelton
I walked around the cemetery on Friday looking for Raymond's grave because I was actually going to put flowers on his grave. I knew Raymond when I worked in Woody's Cafe (my dad) in Goree. Anyway, never could find his gravesite. On Sunday my sister stopped by the cemetery and ran into someone and asked them if they knew where Raymond's grave was. Yes, the girl walked right to it. Kind of a bad picture and I will make a better one the next time I go to Goree. I live in Georgia. Jan

RE: Lena Gibbs
I am more than happy to take it. I am trying to get cemetery pictures of all relations. It is a HUGE undertaking! lol I live in this area so that helps with quite a few family members.

I am related thru my Husband James Gibbs. He is descended down thru Joshua Gibbs, to Richard, to Joshua Harrison, to Pleasant, to Harold, to my husband.
Are you a cousin?

RE: Leah Clay
Kim,

I'm in favor of creating memorials if one knows where the person is buried. But I don't know where Leah's father Samuel Maggard is buried. He died around 1878 probably in Wise Co,. VA but don't know for sure. After Samuel died, Lucinda Short married a man whose last name was Wilson Lucinda died 8-1-1915 in Elliott Co., KY. I'm reluctant to create a memorial for her because I've not found her cemetary.

I think if you just list Leah's parents and their birth/death dates in the bio section, that's enough for now.

As you probably noticed, I created a memorial for Rufus Clay. I have visited his grave on Fox Hill. Uncle Clayton Warnstaff and his family made the cement marker for him.

Most of Leah's children are listed. Two are not. I contacted Edwyn Wilson about linking Leah and Rufus to Albert Clay (Memorial# 43429173) and Albert Clay's 2 wives (Memorials# 43429197 and 43429212). Edwyn's not made the links, and I've received no response from him. Do you know Edwyn?

I contacted Marjean Russell, the owner of Henry Clay's and his wife's memorial (#33096184 & 33096126). Marjean's not made the links, and I've received no response from her.

That's about all we can do for now.

Thanks for caring. Those folks had a tough life on the 40 acres of that mountain top, especially in the winters. Plus, Rufus survived fighting in the Civil War. They deserve to be remembered.

Kim,

We are 3rd cousins. Unfortunately, I did not know your folks. I didn't know any of the Fox Hill Clays, but my uncle, Clayton Warnstaff, did. Before he died wrote a memoir with recollections about each of them.

Please to make your acquaintance.

There... you are all set. I got all the links completed and transferred his memorial to your care. He is no longer "lost", he is at Lincoln Memorial Park in the mausoleum in the Rose corridor, which is the original main hall. The mausoleum has been added to several times since the 1920's.

Enjoy.

William Bruce Zumwalt
I will be transferring William's memorial to you. I see you created one in June, but i created mine first. You could not find it because his urn said W. Bruce Zumwalt and that is how I posted it!! I just decided to do a search under William and found your memorial with an unknown place of burial. Since he appears to be family I will transfer it to you. Could you please delete your memorial and just keep mine, since it already has pictures on it??

RE: Bracher and Scroggin
You are most welcome to transfer any memorials that you wish.. We are retired and spend a lot of time with this program. Were not related to very many of them but we transfer them on to families that are and believe me we do a lot of that. We think its great when we can connect these families with thier ancesters.

I could only find the one williamette national cemetery listed on Find A Grave. The originator of that cemetery will have to correct the name with the Capital letters. I didn't want to duplicate the entry. Which I am sure someone would come back and tell me that too.

Sorry you are barking up the wrong tree.

Thanks for for you input though.
