Kelley-Meyers Family
Hello, Steven,

I am searching for the relatives of Kenneth Wayne Kelley because he was my uncle and I am in possession of many beautiful old family photos which I would like to put into the hands of someone in his family who would take care of and cherish them for future generations. His wife, Colleen Kelley, was my blood aunt. I found you by Google-ing Clarence James Monroe Kelley who was the brother of Kenny, and it got me to this site, but the picture seems to be of Clarence James Otto Kelley, the grandfather. I know because I have those pictures. I am in possession of family dates of births and places, also. Edna Rachel Myers was Kenny's mother and I have pictures of her, also. I have contacted Jason M. Myers and he said he might help, but I have not heard from him for a bit. Would you be willing to help me find these folks? I do not want to destroy the records until all has been done to locate them. Thank you!

RE: J. Beaty
Thanks very much! I didn't even realize there was another Cedar Grove until last week, and from the looks of it, not many others did either, so I want to get all of the memorials in their correct spot.

When you get a chance, if you could link him to his parents, father #99047868 and mother #99047761, as well as wife, #53126969, it would be very appreciated. Thanks again!

Transferred to you. I always feel that friends and family, no matter how distantly related, can do a better job than I.

John Speer
The Hoards @ Mount Pleasant
I went to the cemetery yesterday, looking around their section and did not see any Hoard names. This place is laid out in such an illogical, scattered manner that unless the staff have a "secret" map (that they aren't likely to share with the public!) showing each individual plot specifically, it would be nearly impossible to pinpoint an unmarked grave, and I'm afraid your people fall in that category as this section has been (almost) entirely photographed. At this point, your only (realistic) option would be to pay the staff (with their private map) to snap the spot for you I'm afraid.

RE: Re: Arthur Hoard in Seattle
Thanks for the followup - I'll try to look at that area specifically for any Hoards. Bear in mind that Section B has been fairly well gone through by photographers, and that locating exact spots can be difficult, even with the info you were given; this place is far from orderly, where one might otherwise just count out the rows and spaces to be pretty sure "He's under there!" if unmarked.

Hi, Steven,

I will be happy to add any information to the memorials which you provide. However, I do not transfer memorials outside of the Findagrave regulations, which you will find quoted on my page. I have been burned by people deleting my memorials and setting up their own, stealing my pictures to do it.

The best method for keeping your family memorials together is to put them in the virtual cemeteries.

If you have biographical info to add, please send it. I have a turnaround time on such emails of less than one day, and usually less than twelve hours.

Mr. Fairweather, thank you so much for your very kind message. I appreciate the background and helps me to understand. That is so nice of you to take the time to tell me this. I might take you up on your offer for sure. I haven't been to Find A Grave in some time, but I will check and get back to you. Sincerely, Bill Van Auken

Porter Pixley at Rose Hill - CC, Tx
Have high res photo of Porter Pixley's headstone. I'm going to post a closeup shot, then if you'd email me with a reminder to send you the high res photo, I'll do it when I get back home.

BTW - there really isn't any detail that you can't already see from the pic.. it's clean and easy to read.

RE: The Gieseke Family
Steven,

As lineage would go, I would be very, very distantly related to any of the Giesekes. They are more closely connected to some of my distant related ancestors. I have researched them based on that connection and added them to F.A.G. as I was researching others in the same cemeteries where they are interred.

While I usually do not have a problem transferring memorials to direct family members, I am a bit hesitant to transfer such a large number of them at once. Before I transfer, can you tell me how you are related?

Thanks,

Wendy

Rose Hill photo request
Please call the cemetery office and obtain a grave section, plot and grave number. POST THE LOCATION, or EMAIL IT TO ME. The office is extremely cooperative when you call and look one up at a time. Local phone number is (361) 882-5497
The Rose Hill office is uncooperative when I ask for more than one location at a time. I have the maps to most areas, and will try to find your requested photo with this information.

There is another resource in the Corpus Christi area that you can utilize for obituaries. They can only do the ones that are found in the library's index, found online (see below) The public library allows 2 requests per person, per month.

Best Regards,

Dirk

main link to genealogy page http://lhdatabases.cclibraries.com/ObituaryIndex/home.php
look at the top of the page, and use the "FIND RECORD" tab

when you find one that you want to get, copy the index listing and paste it into an email, and send to ccplhist@cclibraries.com

Steven, Thank you so much for the photo. I am not related to Leonard Van Bossche, but I am told he was a good friend of my grandfather's.

I would love for you to transfer his wife's findagrave to me.

Thank you.
