Blosser cemetery
If I am seeing correctly, there appears to be two other stones to left side of the gravestone at the corner.

Were these stones engraved, but unreadable?

thanks
Cheers!

blosser cemetery photos
Wonderful job with the CEMETERY photo for locating BLOSSER cemetery at Whiskey Hill.

If Only I were still in OREGON--It tried to find this cemetery last year.

Truly blessed that it has been 're-discovered' and uncovered again.

Cheers!

I was talking to my sister about your e-mail and she is much better at tracing the family geneaology than I am. According to her calculations, we are 4th cousins. She is very excited and I gave her your number to contact you if you don't mind. Thanks so much for getting in touch. Technology is pretty amazing.

I was thinking that maybe you could contact Jane Bay who oversees this cemetary. She may be able to help you. Her number is (304) 226-3865.

I don't know any of the Dyer family, only the Turnbull's. Let me know if you have any of the Turnbull family and I'll be glad to help.

RE: James Cecil May
Patricia - I have located what I think might be the wife of James Cecil May - but, she is not buried in the same cemetery - I found this Rosemary P May 7/24/1922 - 7/14/2004 at Park Lawn Cemetery - The Dalles, Wasco Co. Oregon. Is this a common practice? or was the cemetery that James Cecil May no longer active. Maybe she is not the Rosemary I'm looking for.....again thanks for the photo !!!

James Cecil May
Patricia, thank you so much for the photo of James May - his relationship to my husband's side of the family is a nephew to Mary Isabel Edgar (nee May). James C. May's wife (according to his obit) was a lady named Rosemary; there is no record of her death in Find A Grave. Again, thank you so very much.

Patricia,

Just wanted to let you know I updated his memorial to include his full birthdate. I was also glad to hear that the headstones had been repaired. I always felt it was such a shame to see a cemetery so near a church in such disrepair. Thank you for the information, Sincerely,

Niday/Nye line
Hello Patricia,

I've been reviewing your tree and also doing some digging. From what I've found, it appears Charles' father was Whit Wilson Houser NYE, the son of Abraham Nye. Seems they migrated from Pennsylvania via Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and then finally Oklahoma.

RE: Rachel Reed Larkins stone
Its awesome that you met Shirley. I've heard of her through the Larkins family grapevine. Mom met her and so did one of my 3rd cousins, who I met ironically while attending a local Genealogical Society meeting. Learned during my presentation to the group, that she and I shared family. Then discovered we were from the SAME Family!! LoL. As for the Nye line. I've traced my line back into the early establishment of Sandwich, Massachusetts. So to see if your line links in, I'll need to trace forward into Kansas I suspect.

RE: Rachel Reed Larkins stone
Well, I'm very interested in getting a nice military marker put in place for grandpa Larkins! Just have to find out from the VA what I have to fill out to get it done & what proof I have to provide to show he qualifies for one!

Rachel Reed Larkins stone
Patricia, if I'm understanding correctly, Rachel was not given an engraved stone, just her husband William?

I will let the others I'm in contact with know, so that they can determine whether they should collect funds to have a stone engraved for her. Thanks for the clarification on the cemetery and notifying me of William's marker. Last I looked at his memorial, no marker photo was up.

Could you tell me how you came across the first name of Thomas for Grant Needham and the last name Lnu for Louisa his wife and any other info you ran across please. I just want to verify it for my research and lack of finding anything under Grant Needham. This puzzles me greatly.
