John Dorrington
I see you requested a photo of John Dorrington 111378077. Do you know if this is one of them in the Mausoleum? I searched the area and could not find a headstone. But the mausoleum does have the last name of Dorrington listed with two others. If that is where he is I have a photo of the mausoleum I can add. The mausoleum is locked so I can't check it out.

Excuse me she took me to the Newman cemetery location, but she has a big book of all the headstones from the graveyards found on post. She is very nice and seems to enjoy this job. She is the go to person for anyone looking for resting places in any of the 41 cemeteries on the fort.

Photo request in Richmond County
Your Boulineau cemetery may be on Fort Gordon, one of the old settlements? Images of photos from cemeteries found on Fort Gordon can be obtained easily by contacting Renee Lewis 706-791-2403. She was even willing to take me to this location. There are 41 Cemeteries on the Fort but many are in hazardous guarded locations.

There is a large family marker which I photographed and then there is a 15 foot diameter ring of markers all around the family marker---they display the initials of each individual. I photographed the LBG marker

RE: Curtis photos
I did not take the individual pictures of Allen and Maude Curtis monument. The name on the pictures is Ben and Diane. The pictures did load slowly at first, I don't know what that means. It would be helpful if when asking for help if you included the Find A Grave memorial numbers for the deceased. It makes it so much faster for the volunteer to respond. Sorry I could not help. Katherine

You're very welcome, Steve! I can't count how many records I've used on Find a Grave in different states to do genealogy research for friends. It is a great service we trade with each other around the country.

All the best,

I found the grave of Edwin Bishop and have posted a picture of his marker. Heavenly Rest is a relatively small cemetery with a lot of unmarked graves. Edwin is in the Elm Section, Block A, Row D, Grave 101.
Have a good day.

Steve, I am wondering if you know for certain that Ada is buried by her husband? She is listed, but her name isn't on the stone beside her husbands, and no dates listed. Luella

Peter Doty
I walked Chester Baptist cemetery today. I rather easily found Peter Doty's wife's marker. It is lying down in the dirt but is readable. I will post that photo and if you don't need it just let me know and I will remove it. I belive I found Peter Doty's marker. It has fallen over but is readable, however it is in the woods. I attempted to reach it today but the woods are fully of poison ivy. I will return in winter and photograph his marker. I will make a note to do that. I will not mark the request as fulfilled.

Ruth Ann Lilley
I noticed a photo request for Ruth. I've sent the following to Gina Gaddis, the owner of the entry, for her to include it in the bio section.

I suspect Gina will provide the photo in the near future. Notice that Ruth's last name has an E in it. This is how it was presented in the articles. good luck with your research.

Cann, of Glen Moore M.E. Church, and Rev. Robert Lilley, of Cochranville, nephew of the deceased. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends. She was of a quiet and kindly dispostion, spending her life in service for others. Her favorite hymns, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "Asleep with Jesus", were sung. The floral tributes were pretty in their simplicity. The pall bearers were four nephews. Interment was made in Fairview Cemetery, Glen Moore.

Joseph Kester
"Joseph Kester Shawtown
Hello, I am researching Joseph Kester 1750-1839. I noticed on the findagrave site, someone has posted a short bio that says he was the son of Conrad Kester/Kuster and Susannah Adams. Could you tell me the source of this comment. thanks very much."

There is a pretty good book that I'm going to refer you to: The Descendants of Paulus and Gertrude Kusters of Kaldenkirchen, Germany and Germantown, Pennsylvania: the First Four Generations, Jean M. White, The Castor Assocation of America, 1991.

From what I can discern, Joseph was the son of Conrad and his second wife, Margaret Morris.

Good luck in your search!

Right next to Eva was a marker for Virginia B Frost which I added to her memorial thinking that it was possible that she was a sister because of the B.

I can tell you that there wasn't anything else nearby but I'll stop at the office one of these days and see if they can find anything on Thomas.
