 | RE: James Veazey site Kettle Creek Hi Jane, No he didn't die at the battle which took place in 1779. I believe his death date is a bit later. Do not know about the specifics but I believe these veterans chose to be buried were they had fought. Hope this helps. Have a great day! MikeAdded by Mike Dover on Dec 30, 2012 5:39 PM | |

 | RE: McBrayer-Brown family HI, JANE SORRY I WAS LATE GETTING BACK TO YOU. THIS BEING XMAS TIME. SO MUCH TO DO AND SO LITTLE TIME. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A FUNERAL HOME. MY GREAT UNCLE CHARLES AMERICUS WHITE MARRIED FEDDIE MCBRAYER D/O WILLIAM CLARK AND ARDELIA BROWN MCBRAYER. THEY HAD THREE CHILDREN. HE DIED IN DEC. 1911 FROM RABIES IN BIRMINGHAM AL. ON THE SAME DAY HIS YOUNGEST SON WAS BORN. HIS CHILDREN WERE SMALL AND THEY NEVER REMEMBERED HIM. HIS DADDY WAS AMERICUS COLUMBUS WHITE (MACK OR M. C.) ONE OF MACK WHITE'S SISTER WAS NANCY JANE WHITE WHO MARRIED ANDREW BROWN AND LATER MARRIED GEORGE ALLS. DIDN'T ANDREW HAVE AN OLDER BROTHER THAT DIED IN THE CIVIL WAR, MAYBE ON HIS WAY HOME. I HAVE HEARD THIS. THANKS FOR PUTTING THE GRAVES ON LINE. IS THE HOUSE AND GRAVE SITE IN HARALSON OR CARROLL CO. I AM GUESSING IT IS CARROLL. I HAVE CEMETERY BOOKS FOR BOTH HARALSON AND CARROLL COUNTIES. HAVE A GOOD WEEK. PATSY BOLLENAdded by patsy bollen on Dec 04, 2012 9:43 PM | |

 | RE: McBrayer-Brown family HI, JANE I HAVE REVIEWED THE INFO ON FIND A GRAVE. THERE IS A COLUMN TO THE LEFT THAT SAYS HELP WITH FIND A GRAVE. I COULDN'T FIND WHAT YOU NEEDED. WHAT I WOULD DO IS JUST CALL IT THE BROWN FAMILY CEMETERY AND ADD THE GRAVES THAT YOU KNOW OF. I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE TOO. I WAS THRILLED THAT YOU KNEW WHERE ARDELIA'S PARENTS WERE BURIED. NOW YOU CAN LINK THEM TO HER. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ONE OF HER OLDER BROTHERS ANDREW BROWN. HE MARRIED MY G G AUNT NANCY JANE WHITE. HER PARENTS ABDA AND MARY ANN BRADBERRY WHITE ARE BURIED IN THE MT CARMEL CEMETERY NEAR TEMPLE. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY THE WHITE FAMILY CEMETERY AND WAS NOT A PART OF THE MT. CARMEL CHURCH AND STILL ISN'T. ON THE LAST DAY OF MAY 1873 ANDREW BROWN WAS MURDERED BY CRATE HICKS. HE WAS STABBED BY CRATE HICKS ABOUT 40 TIMES. WHEN HE DIED HE AND NANCY JANE HAD AN INFANT CHILD. IT DIDN'T SAY IN THE NEWSPAPER ARTICLE WHETHER THE CHILD WAS A BOY OR GIRL. I HAVE READ SEVERAL NEWSPAPER ARTICLES ON THE KILLING OF ANDREW BROWN. BY THE WAY CRATE HICKS ESCAPED FROM JAIL TWICE AND THE LAST TIME IT WAS SAID HE WENT TO TEXAS AND NEVER STOOD TRIAL FOR THE CRIME. NANCY JANE LATER MARRIED GEORGE ADAM ALLS WHO WAS A WIDOWER WITH SEVERAL CHILDREN. HE HAD A LITTLE GIRL NAMED HOPPY ZENRUDIE. SHE WAS BORN IN EARLY 1873. I ALWAYS WONDERED IF SHE COULD HAVE BEEN ANDREW AND NANCYS CHILD. DID YOUR MOTHER EVER TALK ABOUT ANY OTHER PEOPLE BEING BURIED THERE AT THE BROWN HOME. MAYBE ANDREW WAS BURIED THERE. HIS WIFE NANCY WHITE BROWN ALLS IS BURIED WITH HER SECOND HUSBAND GEORGE ALLS IN HENRY CO GA AT THE MT CARMEL METHODIST CHURCH. SHE AND GEORGE ALLS HAD TWO DAUGHTERS TENNESSEE FRANCES AND MARY ROSA LEE. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE BROWN FAMILY. ALSO WHERE IN TEMPLE WAS THE HOUSE LOCATED. IS IT STILL STANDING. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON. FROM A FIND A GRAVE FRIEND, PATSY BOLLENAdded by patsy bollen on Dec 01, 2012 8:22 PM | |
