Rosetta S Roehrig # 110701916
I know you can't remove your message next to the flowers on Rosetta's memorial but I just wanted you to know that she is NOT the daughter of John Harris & Mary E. Price. On her death certif., it gives her parents as William Price and Mary Jane O'Brien.
Rosetta Harris, daughter of John Harris & Mary E. price was born 10 years earlier than Rosetta Roehrig. Hope this helps your records.

RE: Corbin and Clementine Flora Grave Hunt
I think you could make a memorial for her in Mitchell City cemetery. I think it is likely that she is there. Hopefully there will be more evidence somewhere.

Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Mulky, of Bedford, were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Corbin Flora. Mrs. Flora is the mother of Mrs. Mulky.

Mrs. John Steers of Orleans spent Thursday with her sister Mrs. Corbin Flora.

I also found an obit for Mrs. George Flora. Do you happen to know her first name?

Did you want me to transfer her to you or did you just want me to know she is your greatgrandmother? :-))

RE: Corbin and Clementine Flora Grave Hunt
There is no stone for her. I have not been through all the records yet, so hopefully there is something to indicate her burial there.

James D. Sloan
Hi, I saw your message and was curious about his brother Samuel, are you from that line, James is my 2nd gr. grandfather. you mentioned his nephews. Wondered if you are family or just finding info. I would be most interested in talking to you if you are somehow related to him.

Majorie Scott
Do you know how Majorie Scott (133783142) is related to the Sloan family? I see a Marjorie Trimble in Margarette L Harbison Sloan's obit. I thought you would know how to connect her to her family!

Victoria.. I sent you a message through FaceBook, but I don't know if you ever got it. I recently noticed that you were a member here at Find A Grave. I wanted to know if you would like for me to turn Jim's Memorial Page over to you. If you want it, you certainly should have it. Just let me know.

Hi Victoria, I received your message, but not understanding what you are wanting me to do, if anything. Please let me know!

RE: Lanz spelling
I am not quite sure you meant to send me the message I received. I have no Lanz family connections in Indiana (that I know of) but I do have LANG/LONG family from Germany>Illinois>Iowa. My LANG family was transcribed as LANZ only once; and that was on the passenger list when they arrived in the U.S. but even the German records read LANG. Sorry I couldn't help you.

Mary L. Guthrie's Grave found in North Monroe Cemetery
Hello, Victoria. I visited the site this morning and the grave is in lovely condition, and in just the most charming area of the cemetery. I added some information about it as a caption in my upload. Good luck!

Victoria, Have you found anything more on Corbin Flora? I know he has to be a relative but haven't placed him yet. Thank you!

Vernal Mayfield cemetery
I saw your remarks on Henry Sander's memorial site and I agree. The cemetery is looking much better now. It has been mowed and is on a regular schedule. In July the Monroe County Historical Society, Cemetery Committe is scheduling a workday to clean, reset and repair as many memorial markers as we can.

You are so welcome. I feel it is an honor to do these memorials. Your daughter is a wonderful person and we miss her here very much at BGSU. I am happy to transfer this memorial if you would like it.

re: John Sears born about 1749
I work with MDbelty I know everyone has him born about 1749 but his real birth is between 1750-1760 so I left it open since we do not have exact date. The Biographic reference you give is only old researchers submittals not proven info.
Our John Sears (I am descendant also) did not serve in revolutionary war. The entry for him was a mistake by early researchers in 1930. The man that served went to Kansas and is listed in 1840 census as serving. At one time I traced him through. Our John signed the oath of non-alligiance and paid extra tax not to fight. I have both these documents. The reason is the Zaher or Sears family were Dunkards (German Baptists). It is like Memnonite or Amish and they do not fight. His brother Christian signed also. But they still have a neat history and deeply connected to the early Dunkard religion history.

She died at 16 1/2 months. I very much doubt she was married to Philip.
