RE: Coons in Hastings Cemetery
Hastings Cemetery is local to me and I have spent many hours in it. There are some very old stone in one part of that cemetery that can be hard to read and it's possible theirs is one of them. There are others in the area that also volunteer for Find A Grave so if you would like to repost the names perhaps someone could locate them. I couldn't after a fairly extensive search. But I'm certainly not infallible! LOL.

Hi! Sarah was my 2nd great aunt. As for your question about Gloria, I tried looking everywhere to find out who she was or how she was related. I wrote her down in my journal so I could go back to her and see if something new pops up.

RE: Mowers Photos in Highland Rural Cemetery
Thanks SOOO much for taking these photos for me! The reason I wrote that on my memorial was for the people with the obnoxious dates stamped through the stones. Yours are barely visible and fine with me. I know what you're saying about the stones deteriorating so fast. It's such a shame. Thanks again! Cathy

I assumed the photo season was over for this year and was pleasantly surprised to receive notice for Kingsbury and Lavinia having photos added to their memorials. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. :)

RE: I Dea Scramlin Memorial# 92677992)

ooo that means we are distant cousins through
I. Dea! I Dea and his first wife Lousia were my Great Great grandparents. No need to transfer.

my goal /quest is to connect all my relative's graves to each other and add bios where there are none.... that will keep me busy. The few I have I have created or the person insisted on transferring them to me because they were not related..

Do you have any photos of I.Dea? I don't but would love to have one.

Also have you pursued membership in the (DAR) Daughters of the American Revolution? I Dea's grandfather and uncles are all patriots of the revolutionary war. I have a new niece born Dec 2 and I would love to set her up for membership. My mother(now in her 80s) always wanted to join but never could prove the connection to the Scramblins buried in Oneonta. They are some of the first settlers to that area and documented revolutionary war patriots.

(I wonder if he was ever called IDea...)

Happy Holidays!!!! Deborah

Deweys in Great Barrington
There was an Israel Dewey buried near your Justin and Louisa requests, I uploaded that one as well. And there is one that sort of looks like Harriett, daughter of Justin? But I can't read it that well. You can have any of these records if you like.

Hi Melissa. No not related but have ancestors in the area and work on several peripheral families. Yes it is a very cool, peaceful cemetery in rural Vermont. Beautiful resting place.

Thank you
I also posted the poem on my Facebook for those interested. Mostly those interested in genealogy. My lines also are Arthur Aylsworth, George Gardner, and Simon Stone. Since you have relatives from my area, do you connect to any of those? They intertwined alot as you know.

Re Neff cemetery
Hello, I really have no idea where the Neff cemetery is located. Sorry. The Neffs I have found are in the Butternut Valley Cemetery near the early Reed family. The Reeds are my line and Amoret Reed married into the Neff family. Hmmm, I'm rather glad your relative beat Cooper. I'm sure you have read about what he did to Jedediah Peck. I lost all respect for Cooper for that horrible deal. Peck did alot of good promoting education. I'm doing well, thankfully. Hope you are also.

Nevermind - that was Columbia County. The Town of Columbia in Herkimer County borders the Town of Richfield in Otsego County, so I can also see why they made that mistake.

Added by Elkv42 on Jul 30, 2015 11:46 AM

That website had the cemetery in Columbia, Herkimer County, which is over 100 miles from Richfield.

re: Richfield Hill Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery
Thank you, Melissa. That settles that question in my mind!
