RE: Gallahue Family
My pleasure ~ Glad I could help! What I found for Jeremiah is in the 36th-45th Annual Reports DAR. Senate document (U.S. Congress, Senate) shows Jeremiah GALLIHUE (Spouse: Nancy Barnes) buried at Woodlawn in Marion Co., WV. If you would like verification (which is absolutely as good as gold) the website is NSSAR Patriot & Grave Record. There is the proof you needed!

Gallahues
I've added some Gallahues (and their children) today who are buried in the Gallahue Cemetery in Roane Co., WV. There are many others buried in Marion Co., WV. Let me know if any I have added are related to you.

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My mother had him for an art teacher in Warren Ohio when he first started teaching, and I knew him at the Trumbull County Fair, where he would display and sell his art work. I was a secretary there for years. He was a very kind man and such a talent. Know that we in Warren that knew of his work with everything here will miss him deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

RE: Uncle
I know the feeling!!! I have been working on my family tree since I was around 16 and my husband is always telling me that it's for nothing because none of our kids care... They do, just not like I do!! :) My youngest (14) goes to cemeteries with me almost constantly, and I see the look in his eyes when I point out an ancestor and tell him what I can of them. My other 2 kids are less interested but they listen when I tell them something. I always tease and say when I die I want my gedcom file (38,000 people currently) cremated with me. They all laugh at me because I have no problem getting on whitepages.com and looking for people who may still be living and giving them a call. Most recently I connected with a 94 year old 4th cousin who was able to fill in some blanks on my family tree and he sent me about 75 pictures ranging from 1880's to 1950's. He passed away, sadly, but he still had his faculties when he went and I am in contact with his daughter now. I have boxes and piles and filing cabinets full of the information I have "dug up" over the past 25 years. I am from Ohio and most of my family is there, that's why I started photographing Marion co. cemeteries. It gives me something to do, and my husbands family is from this area.

Gallahue's
Hello Raymond, I believe we may be distant cousins. My Mary Gallahue was a daughter of Benjamin. She married Henry Tucker. They lived to be over 80 years old. I have yet to find their gravesites. Would you know where they are buried please?? We traveled to West Union, Doddridge, W.V. several years ago to find our family..

thank you

Carol in Az.
