I have a question, this is the brother of my father. The bible you used the page out of belongs to me and given to me by my father. How did you get a copy of it since I still have it? Are you related to my family? Is it possible for you to transfer this memorial to me. His name was spelled Clairance. On his death certificate it says his mother is a Roger not Mattie Koger Martin and father unknown. I had called trying to find out where he was buried and was told all records were destroyed at the Morganton asylum due to a fire and all grave marker, destroyed too. I have also tried to get the death certificate corrected but have been unable to do this. Can you tell me where Uncle Clairance is buried so we may visit his grave? bobbi.cecil@att.net

RE: Dolger Thicket
Hi Suzannah :-) No, they don't allow an amendment once a Cemetery is established ... at least not where I can see. Why don't you initiate another Cemetery with the correct name, I'll move the one memorial I created, then request that Dolger be deleted. San :-)

Thanks. As I said, I am not the find a grave police. I have done the same thing and I want others to let me know if I do it again. Again, thank you for taking care of the Cherry Cemetery.

Photo request
Bellamy photo request at Flag Patch Cemetery.
Horry County is documenting/inventorying this cemetery now and we will finish posting our photos this week. Hopefully the Bellamy child who is buried there will have a stone. Many burials there do NOT, rather a temp marker and many of those are mangled and partials. This is an African-American Cemetery.

Babe A Hamby
Hi,

I noticed that you have information on the parents of Babe A Hamby.
He is my great grand father on my mother side.
Babe A Hamby married Maybell Jones the daughter of Andrew Jackson Jones.
My grandfather Iddo Hamby and my grandmother Laura Jean Rogers are both burried at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Woodstock GA. Next to one of their sons Kenneth Iddo Hamby.
I'm not sure how to link them together.

thanks

RE: Suzannah, HELP! :-)

I'll have to find the record again. When I couldn't make a definitely clear burial connection, I didn't download the file. But I'll find it again because I'm still working within the same generation on my family tree. Thanks for your help. Blessings, Sandi :-)

Happy New Year to you and
Yours, Suzannah! :-)

I have another question: Is the County Home Cemetery in Wayne County the same as Cherry
Hospital if Cherry Hospital is where the person died?
I've tried goggling County Home Cemetery, Wayne County, and so far have come up empty.

Thanks, Sandi :-)

Suzannah, I finally got my computer back from the shop and am adding the photo I took of Myrtle's stone at Mountlawn. I apologize for the delay! Hopefully, this will show she is not buried at Baptist Home. Thanks for your patience.

RE: Myrtle Sebastian
Suzannah, I'm glad you asked me this because I have been having trouble with my computer and thought I had posted not only Myrtle's info, but her picture, too and in just now checking, I did not. The computer has been crashing a lot in the middle of a task and I guess that's what happened. Her memorial and picture will be put on later today, as I have to run to town right now. I'm sorry. I'll let you know when it's posted. Thanks for alerting me!

Suzannah, HELP! :-)

If a person's remains are assigned to the State Anatomical Board, Chapel Hill, Orange, North Carolina ( I'm assuming they're referring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill); are those remains subsequently buried at Cherry Hill?

Sandi :-)

I am certain there is, but I live in Columbia, SC and can't go to the cemetery to get a picture. I have a picture of her husband's gravestone, but there is a better one already on Find-A-Grave for him.
