RE: Louise Wisecup
You are very welcome. Unfortunately most of the stones are just numbers. There are only names on a very few markers. So I really don't know if there are other Wisecup's buried in the cemeteries. Wish I could help you more.

I've seen that name come up a few times on the charts. My chart's name is AKS Family Tree. I just changed the name a few days ago.

Yes, that's right! I have just recently found their info on Ancestry.com. I was working on my dad's side, which is from Mexico and a lot harder to research. So, I switched over to the Wisecup/Leach/Shuff names. I have a chart on there that I started a few years ago. I've been more actively researching my ancestors. They aren't easy names to research. I've a lot of information about my other family members from Jackson County, but it's fun to find info on them.

RE: Wisecup
My grandmother was Laura Humphreys Leach and my great-grandparents were Katherine Wisecup and Arthur B. Humphreys who are buried in the Coalton cememtery. I'm not sure how they are related to your Wisecup connection. It's nice to see someone else researching the Wisecup name. It's not very common.

Wisecup
Hello!! I am also interested in the Wisecup family name too. I have been to the Coalton Cemetery once. My great-grandmother and great-grandfather is buried there. At the time, I didn't realize how many other family members were buried there until I started doing my family tree on Ancestry.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Found it! Thank you so much for the hint. This has been a tough family to prove connection to but I keep chipping away. The death certificate is one of those chips in my brick wall.

Chasteen Cemetery is on my farm. I don't know who put the marker for Frank Wisecup. I got the info from Ohio death records.

RE: Jones Memorials - Maple Grove Cemetery
Yes Patti, I have family in both side. I think it has been a couple years since they decided to change the north side of the road to the New Maple Grove and the South is the orig Maple Grove. Yes, a large group of the older ones are on the north side. The last time I was there before a couple weeks ago it was only one cemetery Maple Grove.

Margaret Delahanty #90287276
Thank you for turning over management of Margaret Delahanty. She has been one of my brickwalls and living in California it has been difficult to research my ancestors to the east. Question: On her memorial page it states "Death Cert lists parents as: Thomas Welsh & Sarah Duffy". I would like to get a copy of both her and her husband's death certificates. Can you tell me where I should seek these documents?

RE: Minnie Esta Secrist Yankie
Hi, Patti - my connection is that I descend from the original Yankee who came over and in direct lineage. Since you are related to Minnie and most likely remember her and her husband I'm sure you want to keep them. Tobias is the son of Joseph, son of Anthony, then Andrew, William, etc back to the original three sons with their father. I am in a direct line to him. My father is Boots Yankie son of Jonathan, son of John A., son of Michael, etc. This is where they all meet up in Virginia from Texas to Mississippi to Virginia to Ohio to Pennsylvania!

The Yankies who are not being connected and maintained are my primary concern. I will send you any links pertinent to Tobias. Thank you very kindly.

Best Regards,
Nancy Yankie Sidarous

Thank you. That is a lovely compliment. I would enjoy coffee time with you also----but I would have to do tea :-)

How are you connected to the Wisecup family?

Patti, I went to the library and accessed ancestry.com. I found your site and some of the other sites on Abraham and Margaret (Peggy) Gorman Wisecup. It seems Peggy Gorman (born in VA) was a widow when she married Abraham. No one seems to know her maiden name or the name of her first husband. The info. was helpful. Thank you.

My McClelland name has a very interesting story and history connected to it. It was not the original name of my grandfather who took on that name after escaping from jail in the late 1800's. It is quite a story and the reason I first started researching my genealogical roots.

Thank you, again.

Patti, I may have misspoken. I don't belong to ancestry and therefore am unable to access the website and your Wisecup fam.
