Hello Eric! How wonderful! I can't begin to tell you how excited I was to get this email with the gravestones of Thomas and his wife and children! My family tree branches from both Thomas Russell (brother to Emmanuel Wesley and also Saphronie, whose sister is Sarah Jane, wife of Emmanuel Wesley Russell. Two brothers married sisters. Emmanuel Wesley and Sarah Jane were my husband's grand parents; this side lives in Ontario, Canada. What can I say other than thank you, thank you, thank you for posting with photos and obituaries, priceless! If I can return the favour, please let me know! Best Regards, Antoinette Russell of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Nope, I'm not the one who took the tombstone photo but I'll go out there tonight. I emailed our historian who is in charge of the living history characters and suggested we use Armstrong. That info is aweseome and I'm going to have to see if I can buy that book for myself.

I noticed you left a flower on Leland George Loquist's memorial. Are you related to him? He is my 3rd cousin 1x removed through Johan Petter Lovqvist, my 3rd ggf.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I will send you the pictures so you can make the memorials, the only thing I ask is that you allow me to add the pictures to the memorials once they are completed.

Hi Eric. I don't know if you remember me or not, but I took pictures of Fred, Lydia, and Asa Fulkerson's headstones. I don't know why, but when I took these pictures I failed to notice more of Fred and Lydia's children buried around them. I just happened to be taking care of another photo request by the Fulkersons when I noticed them. If you're interested get back with me and I will give you the information for all five.

Working on some Beattie's out of Mount Mora Cemetery, St Joseph MO for you. Give me a bit, that place is a mess! (Sad to say since I am on the preservation board...) We have it listed that Armstrong Beattie was a Union Captain in the Civil War. We also have more Beattie's. I'm attempting to locate & photograph. Will keep you posted!!!

RE: Bochniak
Hi Eric,

That's so awesome that you were able to locate Peter! It's amazing that they had a record of it there that easy to find! I didn't have so much luck in calling (the woman I spoke with wasn't too friendly!) to get locations so I didn't figure it would make much difference to stop in and talk to anyone, but boy was I wrong!! Were there many Bochniak's that I didn't come across already?

Congrats on your finding!!

RE: Bochniak
Hi Eric,

I'll try to get out to the cemetery again in the next couple weeks. I recall seeing several other Bochniaks near where Tomasz was buried but I don't recall seeing any other Gaberts. The Gabert headstone that I took a picture of was in a section of the cemetery that looked like newer with nicer standing granite headstones as opposed to the more standard ones most of the rest of the cemetery was comprised of, so maybe there are other Gaberts elsewhere there.

Does the cemetery office have record of Peter Bochniak? Or any info besides that he's there? Seems like that task is easier said than done! The cemetery is rather large and the fenceline seems to go quite a ways along that side. Good luck let me know if you find out perhaps who he's buried near that might have a headstone and I'll see about finding that.

There were several other Bochniaks in that area. Were there others you were looking for? I can probably get back there in the next couple weeks if you want something.
