Alexander Bell
>Hi, 1891 census says Alexander was born in 1875. He was 16. I have him born 20th of March 1875. He wasn't in BC in 1910 as the article says because the 1911 census has him still in NS. His father died in 1910. He married in 1903 and was 28 years old then.
Could you tell me where you found the year 1870? Even the news article says he was 70 in 1939.

Hello!

If you have dates to add to this memorial, please use the edit feature.

I transcribe BC Archives death records. This record has not yet been scanned/digitalized and an age at death is given. The year I have listed on the memorial page is a calculation.

If you are related to this person, please let me know and I will happily transfer the memorial over to you.

Val :)

Johann and Bernt Willman
Thank you for the photos of their headstones. They were both brothers of my great-great grandfather Emil Margido Willman Sr. and they were all born in Trondheim, Norway.

RE: Margaret Dickson Underwood
Correct. I am not referring to Margaret Dickson.... According to Rice Co. Cem. Indexes, James A. wife was 'Catherine'. And yes, this Margaret listed in the index is their daughter. (This index lists him as 'James A.')
Yes Margaret E. J. is in the Wesley Chapel Cem., dau. of James A. & Catherine. No headstone exists for her. IDK where they got their records. I've emailed them on both memorials.
I've only viewed the 2 Margaret Underwood's on this site.
Sorry for the confusion!

Again, Margaret Dickson IS NOT in the cem. index.
Margaret E.J. Underwood (dau. of James A. and Catherine b.Oct.16,1867 d.Apr.4,1873) IS.

RE: Margaret Dickson Underwood
Just to be sure you understand, the Margaret Underwood I found in the cem. record is born 1867.
24 years after the Margaret Underwood you made request of.
Also, there is only "1" Margaret Underwood listed in this record.

RE: Margaret Dickson Underwood
I'm not doubting there once was a headstone for Margaret. However, it doesn't exist now. It saddens me that it isn't there and wish it was.

I'm finding what looks like two cemeteries in Terrace. One is the Pioneer Cemetery and the other is the Indian Cemetery. Can you take a look at where I have Great Uncle Albert At. LOL
I am Chairing a committee called the Tombstone Project. sillygen.org I am thinking about sending you a headstone for Great Uncle Albert. Do you think you could place it on his grave? It will be a flat 24" X 12" X 4" Granite. It will weigh 160 pounds. Let me know. Hopefully if we have a go, it will be next summer.

Hey Sharon,

I'm sorry, somebody else gave me their obituaries, but I'm added some more burials without photos that can be fulfilled.

Thank you,

Johann "John" Ellingsen Wilmann
Hey my great-great grandfather's older brother, Johann "John" Ellingsen Wilmann, died on 1/11/1937 in Usk, British Columbia, Canada. I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

Not sure when Burdell Township Cemetery became a North and South. It was all listed as one cemetery when I posted those memorials.

Sharon,
Glad to have been a help. It IS a shame that time has been so mean to the markers of our ancestors. Have a great day,

Ken M.

Greetings, Sharon!

Thanks for the heads up! I've corrected my math and also took the opportunity to add a bit more info on the carver.

Best regards,
Nikita

RE: Willard O McDonald
Hi Sharon: Yes, I have contacted the contributor for Barbara McDonald to have her burial location changed from South to North. You can go ahead and change yours; it will be fine if you do. When they change the location for Barbara, they will then both show up at Burdell North. Thank you!

I wonder if the Tustin library has anything on him. They have a book of newspaper articles from the Tustin area. Next time I go by that way I'll stop and check. Maybe there is other information about the other McDonald's as well. I'll let you know!

J A McDonald
I have uploaded the photo I took of J A McDonald today. I'm sorry but the marker is pretty hard to read, but I did the best I could in capturing what was there. Yes, you do have my permission to use that photo in your ancestry information. I also have a picture of J A's wife, which I have added as well, and you can also use that one, if you'd like.
