Westlawn-Hillcrest Vets
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Myles Dymacek
Vosicky
Hi Sandy,

I am Myles Dymacek in Lincoln, Nebraska. Is your husband related to Herb Schnackenberg??? I used to play baseball with him and at one time he was my coach.

You have the Vosicky name in your listing and no birth dates. Joseph married Anna Kriz Vosicky. He was born on 16 July 1887 in Nystradich, Bohemia. She was born 22 January 1894 in Kolinec, West Bohemia.

I admire the work you volunteers do and just wanted to help you out. Oh, they both died in Wilber, Saline County, Nebraska. Those dates are correct.

Keep up the good work, Myles

RE: Sorry Dalene ...
Typying an R in my name is something people usually do. But I was names a a very special person, my father. The first child was a girl so she was names after my mom. Then I came and they thought they may have a boy, so they named me Dalene after my dad. His name was Dale Leland So it came out Dalene, (Sound pronounced Daylene) I have only heard about two others with that name. But, my dad was really special so I am glad now that I have the name.

Thank you so much for your kind offer, but as I am not a family member ,and my son is only a best friend of one of the relatives, then you should by all means keep it until a family member come for it.

If you are related to him in any way, then I will gladly transfer him to you. The reason that I am putting any one related to the Vogeltanz on Find A Grave is because of my sons best friend. They have been best friends for over 30 years. His friend and his friends wife lost two baby's,and I put them on Find A Grave for them. There were hardly any of his family found anywhere, until I located some. But, it you are family, then I will gladly transfer them to you because they really belong with family. God bless, take care, and keep safe and well.

Thank you for catching that Sandy...as a matter of fact I came across the site while googling last night. Yes, they are my relatives. I contacted the museum last night and have liked them already. I even got a call from a gentleman that has lived in Wilber all his life, and has info on my family. Isn't that neat!!!

Hello. I saw that you have visited the Wilber Czech Cemetery. There are about 18 Apfelbeck's listed in that cemetery and they are all related to me. They are brothers, sisters, spouses, etc. of my great grand mother . I am working on my ancestry and would like to have photos of their headstones. I didn't know if you took photos. I am new to find a grave, but I will figure it out. I would like to have them transferred to me. Thank you for visiting the cemetery, I appreciate that. Cathy

RE: Housers in Wilber Czech Cemetery
Thanks again for the transfers. John was a Wilber Village Trustee (along with some other guys). I had a photo from the Wilber Library that I posted. There's one guy not listed yet in the Wilber Cemetery: William Bohacek. If you find him I can post the photo on him as well. You have at least one of the other guys already (Joseph Cerny). Regards, Suki Davey
