Hi Kim,

I tried again today and think I got a little more legible headstone photo than the one posted so I'll take you up on your offer to delete yours.

It definitely seems to make a difference on how overcast it is and time of day for that wall.

Okay thanks! I have four or five that are very light that are going to be challenges. It's like they need special/professional lighting. :-)

I took his picture the other day but couldn't get anything readable so he was on my retake list. I know how tough that marker was...thanks!

RE: SVNC photo requests
Thank you for filling these requests. When I am not looking for family, I try to honor veterans and their families by requesting photos. I appreciated your filling these requests that will preserve the markers for families to view at later dates. I randomly pick letters other than A for my requests.

Not related to the Elliots, as far as I know.
Just trying to sort out the George T Elliots.
There is one at Binghamton and one at Dixon.

Hi Kim,

Sorry, I just now saw your message you sent me back in March.
I did not know that there are two of us. LOL,.
That can be confusing. I dont know what we can do to change or prevent confusion on it, do you?

Nice improvement on the French family pictures, much more legible.

RE: Louis McKee
I have no problem with you posting photos to my memorial pages and appreciate it...thanks!! :-)

Most of mine are complete into the mid-Js (I have a list ready for my next trip out that would complete through Jones). There are some in the A-Js that I'm watching that still have temp markers.

So if you want to grab any, maybe in the Ks-Zs.

Louis McKee
Hi Kim,

Thanks for the photo and edit for Louis. When I create the memorial page, I take the military info. listed on the gravesite locator and put it In the bio section. Once I have the headstone photo, I delete the info. from the bio section if it's duplicated (like this one) or edit it, whichever is appropriate.

And now you know the "rest of the story." :-)

Sorry I'm not an Elliot . . . :-)

I started at the back in the old section of the cemetery. Up to the letter K in the records now, verifying what is there or entering new records. Lots of missing markers, so I'm also trying to compare all the previous surveys that were done. Picked up several people that were not in the official record. Learning a lot of history along the way.

I get there about once a week to take pictures. I haven't estimated a completion date. Just chicken, I guess.

The newer section is much easier. Just walk the rows and take pictures, then go home and enter from the pictures. Much lower percentage with missing or no markers.

Thank You for the help. It is nice to have a local expert to sort out puzzles.

No, not family. I'm working on record entry for the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Only 9,000 to go. For a sanity break, I'll try to link people in the Binghamton Cemetery to the rest of the world.

Kim, Thanks for adding Mckinley Cody but could you correct his family links? I believe his mother and spouse are the same. Could be in this day and age or maybe he was a mamas boy.
