You found my grandpa's grave... Thank you! It's like he didn't exist until I finally found this. I guess you're not related, but if you are, and can tell me more since you had a copy of his death certificate... please get in touch with me. My name is Cindy Shivers.
China Spring, Tx. Thank you for adding this to this site... He was very special to me.

Candice, thank you so very much. It is sad to see a cemetery go into decay. Our family really appreciates your kindness

RE: Leona Machlan Goodyear
Hi Candice,
I'm a Machlan descendant. I haven't extended the descendants of Leona & Oliver, but I will and see if I find some documentation.

RE: Leona Machlan Goodyear
You are welcome, and thank you for adding the memorials to Find-a-Grave. I only recently found where Oscar and Charlotte are buried. I came across a transcription of the Jacoby Cemetery when searching for another relative. I found that relative plus others.

RE: Appelina Goodyear
You're welcomed, Candice; there are other childrens sections in Fairview, but they normally encompass a certain group of years or are from when many were dying from tuberculosis.

His wife has a photo of a headstone, but I have requested that it be removed, as it is not her headstone. Thank you for trying to fill my request for a photo. I am sorry that you were not able to find it. I thought she had one since her husband had passed away earlier. I appreciate you trying to find it.... Thank you! Cecile

Hi Candice,

Happy to help. I went back the next day and took the photo of Raymond's stone but when I went to post it, another local volunteer had already beaten me to it!

I ran out to the Marshall County Mount Pleasant Cemetery today at lunch and took photos of the Goodyear headstones there. I'll load them onto the memorials when I get home tonight. Also wanted to let you know that Noah and Leona's son, Robert, is also listed in the St. Joseph County Mount Pleasant Cemetery index. So he is in the same cemetery as his parents. I saw you were looking for him. :)

You are very welcome. :) His parents were not in the same section he was in. I'll have to check with the cemetery office to find them. I did find a Mathias L. and Mary A. Goodyear that would be his aunt and uncle that I added as well.

You are very welcome :) It was hard to see .. it's starting to sink in the ground. I had to pull the grass away from it and brush off sand and an ant hill with a whisk broom to get the photo. Someone had put an artificial flower spray at the gravesite though. I had to remove it to take the picture and then I put it back. Have a great week!

RE: Albert K. Hoyt
You are quite welcome. I wanted you to be aware that Fred L. Hoyt is buried next to Wilson and Alice Hoyt in Crown Hill. Fred's memorial photo is also posted. Have a nice day!

I will transfer the memorial for Thomas J. DuVall to you if you wish. I have no ties to this family.

RE: TA Loviette
You are certainly welcome Candice. When I miss one like I did the other day, I always feel that I am failing someone that is truely trying to find out about their love ones that have passed on. That is why I am determined to do my best to find graves even when obstacles seem to get in the way.
I am truly glad that I could help you in this.

I went back down to Hyatt Cemetery today and looked at every grave and did find TA Loviette. His grave was completely covered with vines last time.
I took photos and will be adding them to his memorial shortly.
Good luck in your family research.

RE: Torrence Augustine TA Loviette
Hi Candice
Ok, I will try and have a better look in a few days. The cemetery is in atrocious shape right now. They were bushhogging when I was there yesterday. Still needed to clear weeds around the graves.
There also was a buriel there yesterday afternoon and another today. I do not like to be in the cemetery when there is a funeral going on. I feel that I am drawing attention away from and interrupting the funeral.

Torrence Augustine TA Loviette
Is there any obit or other documentation that indicates that TA is buried with his parents in Hyatt Cemetery. Their other son Melvin Terry is buried beside his parents, but not TA. Since he died in Harris County and his spouse is buried in Harris county, that would be a good place to look, unless there is some other indication different.
I will leave his request open until some proof can be provided.

I only put half the stone picture if both are not deceased. I delete the pictures after I enter them.
