Ida Aquilina
Shirley Cimpea
Hi Patti,

Thank you for correcting that link for Shirley. I believe that brings this "find a grave info" on my grandmother Ida up to date. So there is no need to transfer management of it.
As we had found out from this site that Ida does not have a headstone, we contracted with the cemetery to build one and have it installed. It should be completed and placed on her gravesite in the next month or so. Thanks again for all you do. Regards.

Shirley Karkeet Cimpea
Hello Patti,
Shirley Cimpea was my aunt (half sister to my mother Dorothy). In order to correct the record, is there a way that you can add John Karkeet as my aunt's father? I noticed on find a grave that they listed her mother as Ida Opland Karkeet (which is correct) but did not list her father as John Karkeet. Would you be able to fix this?

Thanks,
Ida

Ezra E. Ricket
He is a Ricket, no additional 'ts'. My great-great grandfather (aka Ezra's grandchild) decided to added the 'ts' over a dispute with his father. That is correct that my Ezra survived the Battle of Chickamauga. He was also a song writer. You can view his songs and records at the Ohio Historical Society.

Patti, I'm not sure yet. It could have been church. As I said, his mother died when he was about 9. He had a younger sister so I'm checking that source also to see if they have any information.

RE: Paul Varner-50173788
Patti, I did get the one from ancestry. Thank you so much. Paul's mother was a first cousin to my husband's grandmother. I think I told you she died when he was nine. I found his younger sister and am pretty sure that he is the one I was looking for.

Patti, yes, I could like a picture. My email is kittywhitlock@charter.net. Also, if you could remember at your reunion to ask about him, I would really appreciate it.

I see you maintain his memorial. Do you know if his parents were John E and Blanche Hurbaugh Varner? His mother died when he was 9 and his father remarried. I believe the Paul I'm looking for was living with the Borings in 1930. Thank you for any help.

Boyd Ricketts
I have added the photo for Boyd Ricketts' headstone. Previous photographers were unable to find it because Henderson has him listed in the wrong section. He is in the Help of Christians Section, not the Queen of Peace Section. He shares a stone with Mary L. Ricketts, and on the flip side of the stone are Lloyd B. and Catherine S. Ricketts.

RE: Florence Dobrei Snyder
You are very welcome. Just some notes. Her marker is placed on a cement slab and also on that slab is a marker for Clyde Snyder 1903 - 1985. Next to them is a marker for Francis Snyder 1896 - 1975. I have photos of these there is no mention of these on Find a grave.

Raymond Richards (West Lawn Memorial)
Hi Patty,

I spoke with the West Lawn office and confirmed that Raymond is buried at West Lawn, but does not have a marker. The marker was ordered and then canceled in 1989.

I uploaded a picture of the marker of Elizabeth Richards and the space where Raymond Richards is buried on Elizabeth's memorial page. Would you like me to upload the same picture for him?

Thanks,

Amy

Hope you are well.

RE: Mary Barefoot Roshon
Patti,

To answer your question, I got the information about Mary Barefoot Roshon and Jacob Roshon's tombstones from the Liberty Twp. Cemetery transcription book. I haven't completely photographed the cemetery myself yet to double-check the transcriptions, and their stone(s) must be in that last part that I haven't done. There have been many, many mistakes in the transcription once I compare the information to what the actual stones say, so it's possible that they're entered incorrectly. Once I can get out to Old Basil again, I'll double-check for accuracy.

Checking online, the only marriage record that comes up for Jacob Roshon is to Mary Alt on 7 Oct 1847, Fairfield, Ohio. So it looks like the Mary with whom he's buried is his first wife.

Hope that helps,
Natalie

Not a problem at all. The grave is across the road from the old church in what is known as the "new cemetery".

Patti,
His plot is across the road in the "new" cemetery, as it is known. I have several family members there and I grew up just up the road. If I can help out again just let me know.

It a HUGE cemetery, you could walk it for years and never see it all. Do you know the plot where the request is buried?
