Memorial for Rev. Adam Bruner
Hi -
I was wondering if you would make an addition to the memorial page for Rev. Adam Bruner, Memorial
# 58867701. His father was Adam Peter Bruner, who died October 19, 1846 and is buried in the Bruner Cemetery in Knox County, Illinois. Would you please link the two memorial pages? The memorial number for Adam Peter Bruner is #7290390. I would really appreciate it! Sincerely, Beth Daugherty

Helen M. Fiscus Martindale #57971064 Mount Moriah Cemetery, Owen Co.
Casey, your Memorial for the above created in 2010 is a duplicate to one I created in 2009. Yours has a nice photo of her gravestone and mine has a nice bio added. We should combine the information onto one Memorial. If you will add the bio to your Memorial I will delete the one I created...or you may transfer your gravestone picture to the Memorial I created and then delete the Memorial you created. I have sent this request to you using the Edit button but no response so far, thus this public note. Helen was the wife of only a distant cousin of mine so relationship is not a factor. Thanks much,
Margaret #46995858

Zenor Cenetery
Two Zenor Cemeteries in Clay County Indiana, they are mixed up. One is in Prairie City with 170 and the other is at Bowling Green with 38 interments. Could not find any Houk people in Prairie City. Also Bowling Green is overgrown with weeds, and Prairie City is well cared for.

Spanish American War
Conatser Marker Photo
The marker photo posted on the memorial for Philip Conaster/Conatser in Fentress Co. is actually a marker for a different veteran with the same name who died at Andersonville in 1863/64. The latter's wife was Abigail and the former Mary. You might want to remove the photo.

Johnny Meek
Nathaniel Meek #64429297
I have put together notes from Gary Childs research. Since the date on the stone (18 SEP) and the will was probated (17 SEP 1827) that this could be Nathaniel Meek Sr. Please let me know if you feel this is strong enough evidence.
Johnny Meek

listed in the 1783-1786 tax lists of Morgan TWP, Washington Co., PA. He was listed in the 1790 census of Washington C., PA (1-6-3) In 1794 he signed an oath of allegiance in West Bethlehem TWP. He witnessed the will of William Iiams on 20 FEB 1795 in Washington Co., PA. The will abstract mentions "land bought of Charles Barns and Nathan Meek executor."
He paid taxes for land on Wolf Creek in Pulaski Co., KY from 1802 to 1812.
By the year 1817 Nathaniel Meek Sr. and most of his children had left Pulaski County, Kentucky and were in the process of migrating to Jennings County, Indiana. Nathaniel Meek Sr. and Basil Meek lived in close proximity to one another in Pulaski County for 16 to 18 years.
(ed. Note: DNA testing has shown that Basil and Nathaniel Meek are related)
They lived as neighbors until 1822 or so, when at that time, Nathaniel Meek Sr. returned to Pulaski County, Ky. Basil stayed in Jennings County, living near the children of Nathaniel Meek Sr. until 1832 or 1833 when at that time he moved to the state of Illinois where some of his own children had moved earlier. During his lifetime Nathaniel Meek is known to have resided in the states of Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana. His will was dated 9 Oct 1826 and probated 17 Sep 1827 in Pulaski Co., KY. He left everything to his daughter Polly Spenser.

We went to the Neeley cemetery, my ancestors Josiah W. Neeley and Elizabeth Neeley are buried there, and with no trespassing sign on gate we located the land owners caretaker which gave us permission to go in but we did not think to get his phone number or address to contact him to go back, would you know that information? Thank you! Frances Hickman email

Andrew Conatser memorial
Hello Casey. I was wondering where you obtained your information about Andrew Conatser on memorial 57320290. There is also another memorial for Andrew, 48303993. Of course, they may or may not be the same person but ancestry thinks they are. Andrew married Mary Ann Blevins, my ggg grandparents; Tteir son, Andrew Joseph Conatser, married Clementine Evans; their daughter, Caldonia, married Samuel Barlow Hobbs; their daughter, Flora Andrew, married Bradley Owen Boulton, my grandparents. Any info you can supply to me would be greatly appreciated.

James Moore 110555812
Hi Casey, this is a duplicate memorial and you have a great photograph on it. Tony Jeffries created James H Moore # 67869060 in 2011 and there is not a picture, but has many relationships tied to it. Would you mind putting a copy of your photograph on the 67869060? I am going to delete my photograph request with a problem associated with it. Thanks so much and Happy New Year!! So proud of your new found trade and the great successes you are having!

Steve Franklin
Jahue Winningham
Hi Casey,

I am researching the George W. Franklin and Dicey Smith line of Franklin's in Overton/Fentress County TN as part of my Franklin Y-DNA project. A direct descendant of this Franklin line has taken a Y-DNA test and matches with me and 19 other Franklin's in my Y-DNA project. What confuses me is how the Jahue Winningham fits in as a child of George Franklin? My understanding from the records is George was married to Dicey Smith who died around 1872. George I understand died in the civil war with his father Edward Franklin? The line I am tracing on the Y-DNA match is George son James Campbell Franklin and his brother John Allen Franklin, both who died in Chico, Butte Co. CA. I can be reached at My oldest known Franklin ancestor goes back to Edward Franklin Sr. born circa 1696 Essex Co. VA and his brother Lawrence Franklin Sr. circa 1698 Essex Co. VA. Thanks.

Our Hoover family
Casey, greetings from Cape Cod. I have some more questions about the Hoover's. Could you email me at This time it's aboutJames Harrison Hoover Jr. Did he die in Overton or Campbell County? I found a mortality schedule that listed a James Harrison Hoover born in Davisdon County and dying in Campbell county of cancer. The birth date is the same! What do you know?

War of 1812 record for Wm. Parker Williams
Marsha Moon said that someone had posted on Mary (Farmer) Williams widow of Wm. Parker Williams, before she saw the listing on that Wm. Parker Williams was in the War of 1812 & that he was residing in Monroe Co.,In. during Sept. 1831 when he received a pension of $8.00 per year.
They said this was listed on a site titled "U.S. Pensioners 1818-1872", but what I found there does not even mention Monroe Co.,In. or that his wife was Mary.
Any idea who originally posted this info. on the page under Mary (Farmer) Williams?
As this William Parker & Mary (Farmer) Williams are my 3rd great grandparents, this War of 1812 record gives some valuable info., like that he was in War of 1812 & his death date of 1846, which after 56 years of researching, I've never been able to find or prove, but whoever is responsible for placing this info. here, how can they be sure that it is our William Parker Williams who was married to Mary (Farmer) ??
Also I do not want to be the maintainer of this page for Mary (Farmer) Williams.

Associates Church Cemetery
Casey, did you create the Associates Church Cemetery in Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana? If so, I am in contact with the husband of Linda Walbridge, who is buried there, and he asked me to update the cemetery page as follows: "Visitors to the cemetery may park in the driveway." Would you please make that change. Thanks.
