RE: Daniel Ketcham (1753-1828)
You are welcome, Mary!! And no--numbers are not my thing!! I want so very much to help family find family and anything else that will help them fill in gaps. I know the frustration of looking and not finding--LOTS of brick walls and I keep looking for open doors. Sometimes one opens and is filled with information, other times it opens into another brick wall. My numbers are from addiction not greed and it makes me happy to know that I REALLY do make a difference!! Mary, I don't need credit, this is pure pleasure, glad to help!! Thanks! Pam

James Monroe Hensley
I'm real confused with the spouses of James Monroe Hensley and James M. Robertson.

Am I correct in assuming that James Hensley and Mary Lucinda were divorced? That might explain why two of the boys refused to keep the name Hensley.

Are there any marriage records? I loved the pictures you added. It is always interesting to see what people looked like.

I have some connection with the Robertson line, but doesn't everyone from Brown/Monroe Co.?

RE: James Monroe Robertson
I have his grandparents as Robert Robertson and Susannah Hood. Robert is thought to be a son of Stephen Robertson and Winnie Chitwood. I have not seen definitive proof of this Stephen/Robert relationship, so I have it a tentative father/son relationship. Do you have clear proof of this relationship? I am related to Stephen and Winnie through their oldest son, Lazarus, then William Riley, William Parker, and then Harley Clark, my grandfather.

The source of the obit was from the Aurora Beacon News. My sister, Susan, is married to Charles Feltes of West Chicago and lives in Osseo, Wisconsin. There are a couple Feltes Lines in the Aurora, Wheaton, and West Chicago areas. I don't have access to However, I do have access to the Feltes' Family Tree from West Chicago.

Mary I have transferred this memorial to you and you can either add the obit to yours and delete mine or handle it however you would like. Sorry about the duplicate. I had no idea she was buried as a Robertson and had searched for her under the last name of Hurley and did not find a memorial. I did not delete the memorial so your link would still be active. It will not offend me if you delete the memorial I created under these circumstances I just asked that you place the obit on yours.

Thanks & Best Wishes,

James O. Baxter was the son of William Baxter.
William is my fourth gr. grandfather.

His daughter, Sarah Ann married Ephraim Baugh.
Ephraim & Sarah had James Oliver.

So, Yes, if you are a William Baxter descendant, then we are related.

I have this habit of taking pictures of all Robertson stones as I seem to find a connection from time to time. I don't think I'm related to her and it is so nice to transfer ownership to a family member. I loved the pictures as they bring a memorial to life and perhaps gives later generations a glimpse of their past.
