RE: Pearl Luella Pelletier
Thanks for letting me know. It's possible she never took her husband's name. I appreciate your response.

Impressed with your stories of the families
Barry, I am a research 'nut' that not only looks up my ancestors, but I 'extremely' enjoy learning about them, which leads me to this. Thank you so much for the stories you leave on the memorials. I can 'imagine' some of their life, through your stories and photos. I wish I had photos to add to my tree. I hope I will be able to add more stories of the relatives I know.

Did you ever find out anything from your friend about the photo of Cage as an adult? I would still love to have a copy of it. Or you could add it to his memorial and I can just copy it from there for my family files.

George Jenkin at Ft Sheridan
Hi, Barry. I rec'd an email from you re George Jenkin Jr at Lake Forest Cemetery. The citation that he was in the Navy / Vietnam came from a transcription of LF Cemetery Records and is recorded in a book published by the LF Historical Society. Presumably his record is written on a card on file at the cemetery. Hope this helps. RL

Thank you so much for the burial location information on my uncle. He was my father's half-brother. I'd love to have a photo of him as an adult to add to the memorial and for my collection. Could you check with your friend (my cousin) for this? Which child of his are you friends with? I'd love to chat with my cousin. Once again thanks so much. I go by Shay but my name is Shanna Flaherty-Pierce...

William Fowler
Sorry for any confusion about my last post. I do not know the parents of William Fowler. The WRVHS I posted under is White River Valley Historical Society, an organization that I volunteer for, with their cemetery group. Pat

William Fowler
Hi, Our Wm. Fowler is a different Wm. Our older Wm. was married to Eliza Florence and their son, Wm. was born in Iowa in 1861 and married Myrtle Sheldon. Wish I could help. Pat

Violette Tessendorf
Congratulations to your Aunt Violette on celebrating her 95th! Sorry about the premature memorial, but when transcribing cemetery records, there is just no way to know if it is a "pre-need". I will transfer her memorial to you, and you can decide whether or not to delete it.

WALLIUS William Sr photo request
I expect you noticed I fulfilled the photo request for William WALLIUS Sr at Calvary Cemetery Gloucester MA. I took a picture of the back of the gravestone but did not post it because it lists his wife by maiden name and birth date which may be a concern for identity theft. I would be happy to send that photo along to you if you'll provide an email address. Good luck in your research. Pat D

Good Morning! I just added the obituary information to Josephs bio. Thank you for the information. I did omit the living relatives for privacy concerns. Have a Great Weekend! Cindy

Alma Bales
Just fulfilled a request for you for Alma Bales in Oakwood Cemetery, Vermilion County Illinois.

I do not believe this is the Alma Bales you are looking for.

Doing more research, I should this Alma Bales was born 8/1/1869, died 1/5/1947. She is the wife of Turner Bales, and the daughter of Elisha Branham & Drusilla (un-sure of her last name)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know so you can continue your search. I did not find any other Alma Bales in the Vermilion County area, in the data I have access to.

RE: Randall Lee Allen # 128617713
Hi Barry,
Sorry I have not answered sooner. I have just moved from Oregon to Maryland and am presently living with my daughter until I find a place of my own.
All the Allen info I have is on the computer. I did not find your friend on my list of Allens.

RE: Big Hollow_Larsons/Andersons
Hi Barry,

So in regards to Michael and Oline Larsen, I finally got some more answers. Yes, you are correct, they are their grandchildren. Even Gena Oleson. She is their great grandaughter. She was Elise Fredrikke Bernstdatter (Bernt Andersen's daughters) daughter. She came over in 1906 from Norway and died shortly after in 1908. I havent found her death certificate yet, I cant even find exactly where she died, still looking.

I was recently contacted by relatives in Norway(they found me from, so they have provided me some great information and pictures.

Just wanted to update you in case you were interested :)

Re: Elbert Bennett
Hi Barry: Is their middle name also start with a "B" ? I understand that their nick name was Bert. Do they have a middle name that also begins with a "B" ? Susie

RE: Mengs
Ah, I figured because you had the links for that family. Very cool. Do you know much about John Christian Meng? He's buried next to my distant relatives, Oscar Meng and his wife Marie Schulkamp Meng, and I was wondering how they are related. I guessed that Oscar and John are brothers but haven't found records to prove that yet. I'm related through Marie Schulkamp.

Added by Jade on Jul 18, 2014 12:15 PM

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the edits on the Mengs. Are you related to them at all?
