Jane Marie Baker Lowrey

I see you manage the memorial for Jane Marie BAKER Lowrey. And I notice that you and she have the same last name. Are you a direct descendant of hers I wonder? If so I am wondering if you might know who her great, great grandfather's father was.

I'm referring to George Washington Baker b. July 29, 1818, in Campbell Co., TN., d. Feb. 7, 1908, in Spickard, Grundy Co., MO. He was the husband of Lucy Anne Bryant. They are both great, great grandparents of mine as well.

I have been unable to determine who George W. Baker's father was. So I thought I'd contact you and see if perhaps you might have some information on that. You can e-mail me directly at if you wish to do so. Thanks and best wishes to you - Kelly

Was her husband, William H, stone nearby that you know of? (His Find A Grave is 851934 and it already has a grave photo)

I can't find anything. I saw the memorial and all that is on there is a note about the inscription that she was 8 years old.

I have no other Vanderpool's buried in that cemetery before her death.

Old Union Cemetery
I saw a post you sent about the Old Union Cemetery on Harrell Rd, Guilford County, NC.

I am no relation, but I was out there today to take some pictures.

It is very overgrown, but there are a few paths through the woods-watch out for snakes. There are a bunch of small white flags that mark graves with broken stones. Most of the stones are illegiable.

RE: Wrong picture...
I asked find a grave to remove my picture and I took out all the people I added. I think there were only 6. I still wonder who added all those to the cemetery I put on.

RE: Wrong picture...
Looks to me like someone had the cemeteries put together. I know I have done that several times. In this case looks like someone did not know they were different cemeteries. since I don't know the area and I cannot change the pictures you need to contact find a grave and tell them to separate them again. I know the cemetery I did was very old and did not have a lot of stones. I think I just took pics of a few of the older ones. Sorry there is no way for me to remove the picture. deb
