If you'd like the photo and closeup on memorials for the others on the memorial please put in a memorial (if needed) and a request.

Sorry it's not more readable.

Calvary: Section 5 Request
Several of us are actively working to clear the 759 request at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland. You have a request (or more) with plot information, however we don't have a map for that part of the section. With thousands of graves per section (400,000 total on 300 acres) a section map is basically required to find a grave.

The office at Calvary is very restrictive with information. If you could please call them at (216) 641-7575 and tell them you have a relative buried in the specific section and that you're coming when they're closed (weekend, holiday, etc) they should agree to mail you a plot map. If you get one please let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address.

Each time I go I have to skip the requests with plot info that I don't have a map for, yours is one of them.

Thanks!

RE: Henry E. Snyder
Mike,
You are welcome for the photo of Henry's gravestone. That cemetery is close to home. Was snowy yesterday and I found his, and Ann's parents stones but so far none for Ann. I will check it out as soon as weather clears.

I am cleaning up my online Find A Grave messages which I never look at. If you would like to manage this entry, please submit the request thru the formal email tranfer system. Your Find A Grave online msg to me has been deleted.

Calvary
You've recently put in request(s) at Calvary in Cleveland. Several of us are working to clear the more than 750 requests. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you could please obtain plot information AND a plot map one of us will be more likely to be able to fill the request, as the office will only give out a little information to each person. The office phone number is (216) 641-7575. On my page I have the plot maps listed that we already have, we don't need more copies of those.

You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. So far everyone who's called has been successful in having a map mailed, a few e-mailed. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. With thousands of graves per section a plot map would be VERY helpful. Without plot information it's basically impossible.

Thanks!

I suggest you take off the two additions you made and add all the info to the first one ... because that has been added first ..the other two have both been added may 2012 so a lot later

RE: Bernard Dennis
I did double check for the tombstone, but there was nothing. The only stone there is for a John R Dennis, which confuses me because, according to the website, no John R. is buried in that lot. I checked the lot that does say John R (both Sr and Jr), thinking maybe they just switched the records, but there is a stone for both John Rs there. Sorry about that.

I can definitely double check. The cemetery is 30 minutes from me, but close to my mom, and my dad is buried there. I'll let you know what I find.

RE: Barbara Snyder Henry
Yes, the stone had gotten a bit buried over time. It was kind of nice to uncover it so it could be seen again. I'm glad we could help.

Charles Schneider
Michael,
The cemetary office indicates that they do not have a match for a Charles Schneider with the dates you indicate in your photo request. They do have a Charles Schneider who died in 1948.

Sorry that I wasn't able to help.

RE: Robert Busenbark
Michael,
Judging from the other pictures I took around Robert's marker, I would say I was in Section 3 Lot 114. I was checking to see if Jane had a marker or not and was surprised to find Robert's. It's a small marker, probably not much more than 12 inches across with no dates. There is a lot of open space around it. No marker for Jane. Chances are it was wooden and long gone. I have found other markers in the cemetery that are not on the master list. Wish I had better news.

Nancy O,
RE: Albert Dow Jr.
I didn't enter the memorial, so I can't change the name...just added the photo. I noticed the same thing. While searching for this grave, I also found his father and brother's stones. I took photos of those also and posted them. Albert Jr.'s stone is located in/with a Sheldon plot.

RE: Wagner photos
I will return to the cemetery on a cloudy day a see if I can get better pictures of the Wagner headstones for you. The stones are sunken into the ground and with the bright sunshine today there is too much light contrast to get really good phoptos. The other stone was in the shade, behind another upright stone, that is wht it came out so much better.
