RE: Robert Blake Landrum Transfer
Thanks Debbie for the transfer. I create a few memorials and I can only imagine the time it takes to create many, not to mention the taking of photos also.. Thanks for adding the photo, I now live in Florida and can't go by and pay respects.. Being someone that has moved away from there home area the being able to see a memorial still keeps you connected to your past. So again thank you for what you do and thanks for the transfer.. Anthony

RE: Incorrect Photo on Memorial 5431023

Obviously someone else removed the photo I incorrectly placed on here because I can't find it to remove it. I merely attached it from and that is the information it had imbedded in the photo.

Sorry to have confused anyone.

Sandra Weak Linton
Leslie Lyle Linton
P.S. As far as I have ever heard, Leslie was not adopted by Mamie's husband, although they did live down the block from each other in Memphis after Leslie married Mary Evelyn Powers.

RE: Leslie Linton Griffin and Robert L. Linton
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for emailing me. You do have the right person. My husband, Robert Lee Linton, born 1936 was the only son of Leslie Linton and his wife, Mary Evelyn Powers. Leslie was born October 6, 1913 in Brookhaven, MS.
Nobody seems to know the story of Mamie Coleman, or how or why she got to Arkansas with her new husband.

Willie died September 29, 1933 in Melville, Louisiana, of heat stroke. He seems to have been married, or lived with a woman named Maggie May Crenshaw and worked and lived at a place called Swayze Lake but we couldn't find any further record of his wife, nor any children if they had any. We could not find a grave for him. We traveled to Louisiana from Georgia where we live, in search of records but that was all we found.

My husband, Robert, passed away in 2008 and is buried in Horn Lake, Mississippi, close to his mother and father in Hinds Chapel Cemetery.

If you would like to email directly, my email is
So good to hear from you.
Sandy Linton

RE: Margaret/Maggie Gallman Atwood
I'm sorry I haven't gotten in touch with you sooner. I just saw your message. I will have to look at the records that I have on hand. I am not directly related to Ms. Maggie but she is a distant cousin of mine. You know the Atwood family is bigger than anyone could imagine. Especially the Mississippi/Louisiana Atwood's.

RE: John Robinson Photo Request
Hi Debbie,
I just received photos from the External Affairs Manager at EKPC and I uploaded them to Find-a-Grave. I had a list of 5 gravestones for this cemetery from a 1975 publication, for John, his wife, and three of their children. I had hoped that if 5 stones were relatively intact in the early '70s, they would still be there today. However, only two of the stones are still intact, and a third has a partial inscription. I can identify these 3 with the help of the 1975 listing. The other two (including John's) are pretty much gone. Perhaps if I can get out there sometime and poke around in the leaves and debris, I could find the other stones, but that may be just wishful thinking.
Thanks for your and Steve's help with this.

Hi Debbie,
I didn't know if the snow had melted enough for someone to get up to the Boonesboro site to photograph some headstones for me. You asked me to remind you.....LOL.
Let me know if it's something you might want to waste a bit of time on.

Hulla Ella Herren Howell
I am looking for the grave of Hulla Ella Herren Howell. I cannot find any info on her other than she married Wade Howell in 1888, she had a baby(my grandmother) in 1889. I am assuming she died in childbirth and since the Howell/Herren families lived near the Copiah/Hinds/Claiborne County lines, I am looking any and everywhere for Hulla's grave. Census records show info on Utica, MS page. Do you have any other info on the Howell you have listed here? Or any suggestions.

RE: Beauregard Cemetery
Thank you for your kind comments. Many of my family members (Weeks, Smith, Howington, Ferguson) are buried at Beauregard, too, so it was a labor of love. There are still some graves I haven't added, but they are either unmarked or the stones are so old that they are unreadable. I hope to complete as many as I can. I'm sure Lexington has beautiful old cemeteries. I believe that some of the Wooten family which I am related to who settled in Copiah County came originally from Kentucky, but I am not sure which area. If you stumble upon any Wooten or Wooton families there, please let me know. Thanks again, Anita
