RE: Whitmer / Witmer
Do you track the John Whitmore side? I believe John Fredrick Witmore was the only child of Rudolph and Mary? Thanks for your assistance.

RE: Whitmer / Witmer
I am member of and just found some records that explain it. Sarah Schultz married William Schulz in 1904; before that she was married to Baltzer Bizler and thus was the motherof Florence Bixler. I believe John Fredrick Witmer's mother was Mary Reither (one of my ancestors). I can send you some historical records to your direct Email if you like. Ihave a marriage record for Mary Reither to Rudolph Whetmore (Witmore).

Now I'm not sure. I'm related to Florence Bixler who married John "Whitmer" in 1901 (marriage record at I guess I assumed that Florence and John Witmer were the same people, but in the 1920 census, there was a mother-in-law living with them named Sarah Shultz. I can't find any marriage info for Florence Shultz and John Witmer, though. So, I have some research to do.

Thanks for the update.
Are you related to this family by chance? A tough name to research. Trying to confirm the maiden name of Florence Whitmer.

Susannah Rockey Cheadle

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is married to a descendant (great grandson of the progenitor, George Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am not requesting transfer of any memorials but would respectfully request permission to download the photograph posted on the above memorial (and any others which may apply) with credit given such as "Courtesy of cknehans (unless you provide and permit use of your proper name), contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?" if this is agreeable.

I look forward to your response either way. My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I'm 84) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady.

Mary Van Nostran
Since you have no email listed I will answer you this way. Mary Fasbaugh Van Nostran is listed in the Larned Cemetery records as buried beside her husband.

Photo Request for Mary Van Nostran
I looked in the Larned Cemetery in Kansas for Mary Van Nostran and did not find her in the plot listed on her memorial. Her husband's military marker is there but nothing for her.

Good luck in your search.

Pauline (Pelagia) Rybka
Yes, the same. It seems as if she adopted the name of Pauline. Pelagia would be her Polish name. It does get "interesting"--they were often baptized with a Latin name, given a Polish name, and then adopted an "American" name.

Yes, her mother's name was Antonina. I verified that! My mistake in the original message, not sure how I did that. I did look at the death cert.

Henryetta Morris at Wolfinger
I walked the entire cemetery. She does not have a marked grave. I found and photographed Benjamin & Lucinda, who were buried side by side and James & Emiline who were side by side.

Elizabeth Susanna Bender

My name is Jennifer Maize. You posted a picture of a headstone for Elizabeth Susanna Bender in Forest Cemetery, Toledo, OH in July of 2011. You stated that she was the daughter of George Bender and Kathleen Ulrich. I think she may the sister of an ancestor of mine, George Jr. Can you provide any further info on this family or advise me as to what your source was? This family has been a brick wall for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So glad to have a name for her.
about those dates: unless I am reading it wrong, looks like her birth was sept 26, 1869. you said April 1871. Any idea which is correct?

If you have an interest in the Fashbaugh family and the memorials that I manage, I'd be happy to transfer any/all to your care. Just use the "Edit" function, "Request Transfer" and they'll be on the way to you.
