RE: Mamron Stephens
Okay - its's weird because now she is showing up under M.G. Stephens as a child. I don't think we met at a funeral in the past. Where do you live now? My sister still lives in Pell City so I go back up (from Pensacola) every few months or so. Would love to meet up sometime.

Mamron Garrett Stephens
Hi Tammy, My name is Dale Jones. M.G. Stephens was my great-grandfather. My grandmother's name was Cora Mae Stephens Alexander however, she is not listed as a child on his Find a Grave memorial page. I would be glad to give you the info on Cora and any other siblings that may not be listed. Is there a way I can get a copy of the photo you have of him with Nora & Nellie. I have some photos of him but not this one. Thanks a bunch! Are we related?

Transfer
Thank you for the transfer.

I know there are other duplicate memorials, namely one for Lucinda Adams, though I do not have the ability to delete them.

It is a slow process to contact Find-A-Grave to get them to delete duplicates but I am working on it.

Do you know if any pictures exist of Newton Adams? I see that one of Newton's brothers has a picture and it makes me wonder if any other photographs of this family have survived.

Newton Adams
Hello,

I contacted Find-A-Grave and they were able to delete the duplicate memorial for Newton Adams. They somewhat attempted to merge the two memorials, as you can see by the flowers.

I had created additional memorials for his children and despite those memorials being created earlier than the ones currently connected to Newton's memorial, I will go ahead and delete them so as to clear up any confusion.

I was wondering though if you might be willing to let me maintain the memorial for Newton Adams? I ask because I am looking into his Confederate service and I would like to add to his biography.

If not, I understand and there will be no hard feelings, I just thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

RE: Robertsons in Taft Cemetery
There are four James Robertsons buried in the Blanche cemetery near Taft.

James Alexander R. (1912-19634)
James Frank R. (1889-1971)
James Lawrence R. (1857-1935)
James Marshall R. (1885-1969)

James Alexander, James Lawrence and James Marshall are all descended from Joseph Marshall Robertson (1822-1864). I don't know James Frank Robertson's background.

I hope that this helps. I am trying to link up the Robertson's in the Blanche cemetery.

RE: Grace Heaton Stackhouse
Hi Tammy, the photo of the Middletown Friends Meeting sign and the photo of the Middletown Friends Meeting house (photo shown on Thomas Stackhouse's memorial page at Findagrave)were taken by my husband when we were on a genealogical research trip in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for a family history book that I wrote on my ancestors, Cock, Lom, Longshore, Heaton, Stackhouse, and Lamb.

Mandy C Bates
Mandy C Bates #100473570 is actually Mary Amanda (Mandy) C Williams (1- Rouse) (2- Bates) and is my Great Grandmother who was the widow of both Elias Rouse #104926456 and --------- Bates. Elias is also buried in this same Black Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Etowah County AL. Mandy's Death August 28, 1917.

Her children are Nancy Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rouse (Styles) #76450948 (same cemetery and Simeon Edgar Rouse (GA Cemetery).
If possible, could you transfer her to me or at a minimum update her information and tie her together with her husband and children. I will be connecting other children and parents to her.

Please advise

Tammy -- Went back through all of my information and found a letter from my cousin, Yvonne Lochner,
who had moved to Leighton, Alabama. She went to the Patton Hill Cemetery in Oakman, and gave me the following information on my great grandmother:
Born May 2lst, 1846 and died June 14th, 1908. I am sure this info. is correct and have changed it on her record. Thanks for calling it to my attention. If I can give you more info., let me know.

Tammy -- Can't remember exactly where my dates came from but when I have more time, will check it. Sara Caroline Archer married my great grandfather, Joseph Crownover. Their daughter, Adeline Crownover was my grandmother, and married to my grandfather, James Milton Braidfoot. I believe that one of my aunts gave me the information. Will look into it further and let you know asap.

Hi Tammy,

I have quite a few family members in Fairview Cemetery. Carl C was the son of Clarence and Ida Smith (Watts) - is that what you're thinking as well? Let me know if there's something I can do to help!

Really haven't had time to look, but the answer right now is no. No I have no records to show William is Reuben's son. Will look closer as I get time. Sorry.

I sent one extra, the only other of that surname I had, and figure you might find she is one of your early pioneers.

Newton Fred Adams
Hello,

I am so glad to have read your post on the entry for Newton Fred Adams.

I did not create this second Find-A-Grave entry, but I am in charge of maintaining it.

I am also really excited to see that you have located Silas and Lucinda's graves!

Excellent!

I think we have the same Newton Fred Adams here and that checking records and syncing the memorials is the way to go. However, I am not sure if I can, or what the policy is regarding deleting memorials that you did not create yourself is. Obviously I would prefer to delete the memorials I am maintaining, since yours are older, but since I did not create them, I am not sure what to do.

On the 1870 Census, I have Silas and Lucinda living in a separate household, next door to Newton Fred Adams and his Lucinda.

In the household of Newton are his Lucinda, Alabama, Savanah, Lavinia, Samantha, Louisa and Laura.

In the household of Silas are his wife Lucinda, Alexander (33 year old male farmer born in North Carolina) and Posey (15 year old male farm hand born in Alabama).

Your Find-A-Grave for Newton lists his siblings as an Alec A. and U. Posey.

Would the Alexander and Posey listed in Silas' household on this 1870 Census be his siblings?

I have been trying to locate someone else who knew more about this part of the family tree for ages! :D
