You are so very welcome -- and out of town is good!
Dear Alan: Hope you had a nice little vacation (versus a business trip) when you went out of town. You are so very welcome for the Edits tab explanation. And, great on most edits having been good ones, that is usually the case; just one stinker in the batch is a good average! Kind regards, Bridey

RE: Find A Grave Correction: Mary Whittenberg
Alan,
That's fine to have more gravestone photos than one, especially if it is higher resolution, one without shadows or dirt, or is a close-up showing more detail!
The more the better!
Bob

RE: Lloyd Jacob Crotzer-Hight-Crozier
Howdy Alan! I am glad you found Lloyd's edit and your other 19 pending edits. This Edits feature is about six or so months old. There is a lot of good information under the "Help with Find A Grave" link in the left side menu, but know that this information is constantly changing since Ancestry.com bought out Find A Grave. Here's how the Edit feature works:
You get an edit from another member, and it gets put into your "Edits Sent To Me That I Need To Review" list. Your Edits tab text (the actual text on the tab itself) will go from gray to black when you have anything in this list, which is your indicator without needing to actually click on the tab to look at what has come in for you. Also, the really nice thing is that any edit you have sent using the edits menu (each memorial has this menu) will be listed there, under your "Edits I Have Sent That Are Pending" feature. You can use those for remembering what edit you have sent to whom, as well as delete an item from that list if you have a need to, and also know if the edit you sent has been accepted (but you will also get an email telling you if each edit was accepted or declined). I usually use that feature when it's late in the day and I am in the middle of a bunch of edits (usually GPS and grave marker transcriptions) after adding photos to a memorial. Sometimes being tired, I go out of order with the edits I have sent and then I need to look at my "Edits I Have Sent That Are Pending" file to see if I have already sent that particular edit.
In answer to your question about the edits having been automatically processed -- there is a time limit on pending edits in your file (I think it is three weeks). Once that time has passed, your pending edits get automatically processed. My guess is that Find A Grave's thinking is that a member is not very active and, therefore, is not checking their Edits tab. The BIG problem with that is that most members don't even know this feature is there! I have sent countless little messages to members, asking them to please check their Edits tab and explaining it. I wish Find A Grave would just send out a blanket message to all members, telling about the Edits feature and how to use it! In the meantime, we get to know each other better and I must say in the long run that is probably a good thing! :-) Kind regards, Bridey Light

Just sent you an Edit for Llyod Hight
Dear Alan: Since you had requested them, I sent you an edit for Lloyd Hight, to make it easier for your to click and have his plot and GPS locations added to his memorial page. There was an older pending edit (which I cancelled), but apparently it was in limbo due to the transfer of the memorial to you. Please check your Edits tab on your member page, which tab is directly under your member name. Kind regards, Bridey Light

Crotzer/Crozier/Hight knucklehead
Ocean View Cemetery and Saint Bernard's Catholic Cemetery share a lot line, and Lloyd is almost right on that line. You may wish to note that he is actually in the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4, and there is a Perry family on the curbside with Lloyd and his wife being in the 5th row in. On the Ocean View Cemetery's photographs page within Find A Grave, you can view a map of the cemetery which shows the dashed lot line, etc. How about the ol' boy being buried Catholic? Wow! Maybe he changed his spots in his old age?!

RE: Lloyd Jacob Crotzer-Hight-Crozier
Dear Alan: Good idea on maintaining the other memorial, as in this case it is surely warranted. Here are the scoundrel's plot and GPS coordinates:

NW 1/4, Row B, Grave 26
Saint Bernard's Catholic Cemetery
Eureka, Humboldt County, CA

Latitude: 40.7720413
Longitude: -124.1898499
Note: (the longitude " - " sign is very important)

I will just take his grave marker and lot shots for you the next time I am at Ocean View for you so you can add them to his alternate memorial page. Kind regards, Bridey Light

Thank you so much for taking and posting a picture of Steve's headstone. Did you happen to know him or how he died? His brother died just 6 months prior to Steve, so I am wondering what could have possibly happened. Please let me know if you have any information, I would appreciate it greatly!
