|Paula Smith||Memorials being deleted|
I have seen a few, my own memorials being deleted. I know at one point, there were no Memorials showing up for some of my family members. I don't know if it was at the time when Ancestry, was acquiring Find-A-Grave, but old memorials were NOT showing up when doing searches.
I have had a Memorial deleted for my maternal aunt, Carol Ruby Nobilese, 1925-1961 buried in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. And my grandmother's brother Arthur E. Black and his wife Aunt Laura.
I just got a message for me to delete my memorial for my Aunt's husband, Mervin "Smitty" Smith. Also buried in Mount Airy Cemetery.
But that's OK, if some people are so desperate for big numbers, let them. Many people NOW, grab their coffee and newspaper and head for the computer. It doesn't matter that the deceased, has NOT even been buried yet! THESE are the people, who give a bad name to many other's before them. I thank those who went out into overgrown cemeteries and documented graves, and in places, many wouldn't consider doing.
I would like to THANK YOU DEB, for all the work that you have done and shared and that I have included in my McQuown part, of my family tree.
Paula C. Smith, nee Fenn

|Carol ||McQuown memorials|
I just looked up the rules. This is what I found:
"In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location. If a case of duplicate memorials falls to the Administration, the Administration will have the final word on which memorial is deleted and which data will be retained in the remaining memorial page."
Oh well, I guess that they don't consider how many family links there are on each memorial. Now they all have to be reconnected.

|Carol ||RE: David and Isabella McQuown|
I couldn't get through to you via e-mail either..not sure what's going on.
Also, seems the memorials for David have been merged. I can no longer find yours. And, all the family links that I connected are no longer connected.
I thought that the oldest memorial was supposed to stay if there was more than one. Yours was the oldest.

|Cindy Wadding||RE: RE:Dessie Gillam|
If you don't mind deleting the clippings. I think it looks better when the obit is in the bio section. As for the photo for John, you can add any photo that you like. To my knowledge, I'm no relation. I just update cemeteries.

Debbie, I am documenting the Church of Resurrection Cemeteries out of the Clymer main office. As I add memorials/pics, I do research for them, so I'll let you know when I get to the other Conways - what I dig up. ....Jan

|Helen Tranum||A bit of correction|
In my previous message, I wanted to clarify that Martha was step great great, although I still consider her a grandmother. My great grandfather Jefferson's mother was Sarah White, Burbridge's first wife.

|Helen Tranum||Thank you|
Thank you so much for the picture of Burbridge and Martha McManus Tranum (how I spell the family name). Burbridge and Martha were my great great grandparents. Their son Jefferson Davis Tranum born abt 1861 was my great grandfather. He was married to Mary Catherine McManus, their child, Grover C Tranum, married to Helen M Spiker were my grandparents. Their son, Harry Duckworth Tranum, my father was married to Mary Katherine Paugh. I love having photos to put with the names, again thank you for posting this picture. Helen

|GraveRobber||Shades in Mt Tabor (Berkeley Springs)|
Wanted to let you know that I've posted pictures to your memorials in Mount Tabor Cemetery outside Berkeley Springs. You had asked me about Peter Shade in an earlier message. I just posted a pic for Sarah E Shade, wife of Peter Shade. Not sure this is the Peter you are interested in, but made an assumption since you posted the memorial.

Just saw the post about Bethel Cemetery when my previous message to you was posted and displayed. There are two Bethel Cemeteries in Morgan County. One is located south of town on Rt. 522. I have completed photographed and posted all the graves located there.
There is a second Bethel Cemetery over near the river that I have not been to yet. I'll eventually get to that one. My goal when I visit a cemetery is to photograph it 100% so you'll eventually have the info you may be looking for.
This may be old info, but better safe than sorry.

I have completely photographed Mt. Olivet. As I went to post the pictures, I found that there were about 30 (I hate typing a number that big!) that I could not read from the digital photographs. Many of the headstones have been cleaned beautifully, but there is now no shadowing or wear that allows me to clearly see the name or dates. I just have a clear piece of beautiful white marble. As soon as my travel schedule will allow, I'm going to revisit Mt. Olivet and retake the photos and write down the info so I can put it in.
If the stone is in the cemetery, I'll get a picture of it when I can. I'm going to attempt to get over there in the next couple of weeks as I'll be out of WV the whole month of April.
I'll post another reply when I get it posted to let you know it has been posted.
