RE: Nancy Elder
Linda, as far as I know Nancy's burial location is unknown. She was a daughter of John Conley and Rachel Adkins and a sister to my g-grandmother Sarah Conley. Sorry I couldn't give you a location.

RE: Laura James
Thanks so much! I thought Laura might be buried where most of her family was. Glad she is no longer considered "lost."

I have updated the memorial of Laura Belle Warren James as best as I could. My dates are slightly different than your dates and the date on the marker. I made a note that the Indiana death index has a different death date than the marker. I tried to locate the marriage record, but could not find it. It would be nice if we had the county where they were married. I hope that you approve of the updates I have made, and I do appreciate the information you have given me.

Best regards,
Bob Hague

Hi, Linda!

I saw that you manage a memorial for Herman Lloyd Britton (Find A Grave Memorial# 90569322). I have a photo of a memorial stone from Umbria Cemetery but I wasn't sure if I should upload it or not since there are discrepancies. The stone I found shows Herman L. Britten (instead of Britton with an "o") and lists that he is the son of O.M. and M.E. (instead of the middle initial "L" as listed on his memorial page for his mother's initials). He was born March 9, 1910 and died August 21, 1914. Did we discuss this before? The only message I saw from you was about a Howard Britton. Should I upload this photo for Herman Britten? Please advise. Thank you!

Linda I sent you a suggestion with the obit. Find A Grave recommends not putting obits where you put yours. they say only pictures. Obit belong under BIO.. Hope you and your better half Don are doing well. we are here

RE: Melissa A Britten
Linda, no they are not related, I am working on 4 cemeteries around that area: adding photos, memorials etc. Not sure who told you about the obits, this is copied from Find A Grave guidelines: "Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. " Hope that helps, Jan

No, I'm not related, I just really like to go on "the hunt" for those elusive headstones. I'll be glad to keep an eye open for her and put up a photo if I find one! Stephanie

RE: John W Hoofer pic
Sure we don't have many and especially NONE of the Hoofer ones - I have JU Hoofer (my great grandfather) family pic of HIS family with Rosa Lee Wilcox - and maybe some others - I am not as organized as you - I will check with the relatives - my mom's cousins and see if they have any others - I am excited - Hoofer's baffle me - John W was married twice? We know of Nancy and as she was talked about but I saw and found he was married to a Sadie or Sarah? so I am confused - and did he and Nancy divorce? or did he marry after she died? Thank you for info - and nice to know we have Hoofer 'cousins'.

Sorry, I don't check mail very often. I believe it is Mills and Mills Memorial Park, Tumwater, Thurston County, Washington just as listed in their obit. This cemetery is only about a mile from me and the only place I photograph.

Yes I am a decedent through Josiah Daniel. I would not be able to identify any photos because we don't have many family photo's of that line, but I would love to see the pictures since we are working on the family tree. Thank you for any thing you want to send me. Tom and Ellen Coss

James Bowen
You are very welcome. I found the info online through the Glenwood library and they listed him as James M. Bowen. The article in the newspaper said J. M. Bowen. If you have any more you are looking for let me know...I usually can find them or clues to where they are.

Thanks, Linda! It look great, and I really appreciate your work! I hope your holidays have been good.

My grandmother passed right before Christmas so we're still getting back to "normal". We will be celebrating over New Years with our family in Texas and have news a our first grandchild to arrive this summer!
