I noticed you had taken some pics of headstones in Dog Creek Cemetery in Cheatham County, Tennessee. There is a pic request and would like to go there to search. Can you tell me where the cemetery is located?

Thank you. I am no relation but know all the family. I grew up in Nunnelly area not far from Rockfield church/Taylors Creek.
I've been working on FindAGrave memorials for all those at the Weatherspoon Cemetery and trying to link their family members together.

I photographed the entire Scott Cemetery and I am in the process of uploading them to the Tennessee Gravestones Project. I realized you had a request for these photos and I was happy to add them for you. My husband & I are State Directors of the new Tennessee Gravestones Prorject. I should have all the Scott photos uploaded soon, so check back to tennesseegravestones.org for any others you may be searching for there. If you have any Tennessee photos, please think about uploading them to tennesseegravestones.org

I will keep an eye out for him. I don't get to southern Cheatham County much during the grass cutting season, but will look around up north and hit the south this winter.

|AJ||RE: Samuel Houston Dunn Sr|
I was in Cheatham Co for a day and I search through some old cemetery records for Samuel Houston Dunn Sr. I could find no referance for him. I also check out Scott Cemetery and Kingston Springs Cemetery while I was there and found nothing as well. There are a lot of unmarked graves that has only a stone marking them. There was one near Jr. ????
Sorry, I could not be any help.

|Judie||Dodsons in Posey Cemetery|
Thanks so much for the photos of the Dodsons in Posey. I have never seen burials like these before. Is this a common burial in this area for the 1800's? Were their names on the boxes too worn to photograph? I do appreciate your efforts and time in taking these photographs. THANKS :)

Thanks for the correct spelling of Pierce's name. Also for the nice photos of his tombstone that you took and posted. That looks like a very old scenic cemetery. Your work is appreciated.

I am sorry, it has been a while since I have worked on my family trees. I now know what you mean. I do not know anything about the graves just that the family was buried in Posey Cemetery. I am sure that you have the right Dodsons. Please post them. Thank you,

I spent about 45 minutes at the cemetery office this morning trying to be sure I was searching the correct area of the cemetery for the markers for Anderson and Alzada Bruce. The pictures I posted show where they are buried but there are no markers.
